View Full Version : Could you imagine how FUNNY the George Jefferson character would have been if the TVFactFan 08-02-2005, 11:03 AM Jeffersons was POOR like the Evans?-lol I don't think could have handled that kind humor-lol Mikado 08-02-2005, 01:34 PM ummmm...He was at one time, the idea was to show a formerly poor black man who suddenly finds himself successful & how that affected him.......basically, he didnt really change  TVFactFan 08-02-2005, 09:13 PM ummmm...He was at one time, the idea was to show a formerly poor black man who suddenly finds himself successful & how that affected him.......basically, he didnt really change  He was never poor on All in the Family. I would like to have seen him living on a fixed income-LOL Talk about Explosion Zions Mother 08-02-2005, 11:11 PM It was never portrayed on tv, but there was an episode from the Jeffersons that showed George going back to his old neighborhood and the actual apartment he grew up in. Wee Zee found out that George was giving money to a family and if I'm not mistaken, I haven't seen that episode in a while, I think she thought George had an illigitemate child. She later found out that George, out of the kindness of his heart, and the memories of his poor childhood, was giving this family money and gifts, like a secret santa. The family didn't even know that it was George doing all of this for them. It was a very humbling episode. You really got to see that George did not forget from whence he had come. :) Mr. Television 08-02-2005, 11:18 PM It was never portrayed on tv, but there was an episode from the Jeffersons that showed George going back to his old neighborhood and the actual apartment he grew up in.
