View Full Version : Ummm...What's with this Popularity With this "Noggin" Network?
Jenya 07-10-2005, 10:05 PM It's a kids Network channel, right? Like YTV, Nickelodeon and Treehouse, etc?
So why is there so many threads about it?
By the way, I just want an explanation on the sudden popularity of this channel. Feel free to lock it up, as there is already a discussion on other threads about this channel. :)
PrettyinPink55 07-10-2005, 10:29 PM I like it because it is the only network for us Americans (at least down here) to watch Degrassi: TNG.
factsoflife 07-10-2005, 10:45 PM Because the shows it plays, while for children are good enough that adults can watch them too. and they play entertainment that isn't all about sex, drugs and violence, its a great alternative for the rest of the crud thats on tv.
TripperFan 07-10-2005, 10:49 PM I've started to watch some things and the night version (The-N) isn't too bad. Hey - with the garbage on N@N and TVLand anymore it's better than nothing. We get the Canadian versions, but its in the home theatre room and I'd rather hang out mainly in the family room so I watch U.S..
The-N isn't bad, IMO. "Degrassi: TNG" is a very good show for teens and deals with loooooooots of various issues (too many to list). They also air reruns of other teen-centric shows like "Moesha" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," and even "My So Called Life."

It's not so much sudden popularity, if you notice, it's basically one person starting the threads you're talking about. But like the above posters have said, shows like Degrassi The Next Generation, the late great Radio Free Roscoe and My So Called Life made The.N (not Noggin) a welcome channel for viewers interested in intelligent teen oriented programming

And that person has every right to make threads. It's not always the same, but about different shows that air on The-N. I don't see what the big deal is when there's bzillions of threads about Three's Company, etc.. And these threads weren't all started at once like a spammer would do. He's a good member in good standing and has piqued my interest in the network.
Heart Shaped Box 07-11-2005, 12:10 PM I like it because it is the only network for us Americans (at least down here) to watch Degrassi: TNG.
Yeah, same here. There's all kid shows until 6, then Fresh Prince, Moesha, RFR, Instant Star, D:TNG come on. That channel is like a teen channel for me.
dawsongirl 07-12-2005, 02:49 PM I enjoy watching Sabrina reruns on The-N, but I am sick to death of the Degrassi and Instant Star commericals. I could seriously throw a brick at my TV.

I agree, I love the N. Problem I have with it, is the commercials are to long. The reruns they air like "Moesha" and "Fresh Prince" are great shows. Degrassi like most canadian import shows is a very good show.
By the way, "My So Called Life" is not on the N anymore.
I think the N should buy the american rights to "Naturally Sadie" from the Disney Channel.
Harper49 07-12-2005, 05:31 PM I suggest The-N may add another MTV show.
Harper49 07-13-2005, 03:19 PM Well, one of'em was an MTV series.
EmoJoe 07-13-2005, 07:01 PM I dont even get The N
Harper49 07-13-2005, 07:20 PM Dang!

Ask Harper. :p
My Neice (who is 2 and a half and cute as a button) is addicted to Noggin. She knows thier entire daytime schedule. I've watched some of the programming with her and some of it is pretty good. They have this one show "Oobi" that's very clever, and it's also funny.
Harper49 07-14-2005, 04:07 PM Well, The-N may add anymore sitcoms like Family Ties or something else.
Harper49 07-16-2005, 02:57 PM Any movies who would like to see on The-N...
IHATEMTV&NBC1985 07-16-2005, 10:12 PM Any movies who would like to see on The-N...
Your so obsessed with The N, man. That's why no one responds to you.
Harper49 07-16-2005, 11:50 PM They're now busy!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian Damage 07-17-2005, 12:20 AM They're now busy!!!!!!!!!!!
Who's busy?

My 3 year old likes 64 Zoo Lane and Franklin. OObie angers me because, I should've pattened that idea. I always use to pretend my hands were people. :D
PrettyinPink55 07-17-2005, 02:03 AM Oh! How could I forget that the beloved Daria is on The-N too!
Jonathan 07-17-2005, 02:30 AM Oh! How could I forget that the beloved Daria is on The-N too!
He actually petitions to get Daria off The-N. ;)
ClassicTV4Ever 07-17-2005, 10:53 AM Who's busy?
::shakes head:: Who knows...
Harper49 07-17-2005, 11:31 AM Maybe The-N could be adding another MTV show.
badbrainsfan 07-19-2005, 07:27 PM They're now busy!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah who is busy?
And why are you brainwashing people to talk about your obsession with The N?
You forgot the shows their playing other than MTV's Daria. Let me name them: Sabrina, Clueless. Fresh Prince, Moesha, Radio Free Roscoe, O'Grady, My So-Called Life, Instant Star, & the popular teen drama "Degrassi".
And don't even think about brainwashing people into bringing one of my favorite sitcoms "It's Your Move" to The-N. If TV Land will ever show "The Kitschen" again, maybe It's Your Move will be apart of it.
Harper49 07-19-2005, 07:39 PM Maybe I'm thinking MTV's The Osbournes it'll have to edit like 2-4 minutes of every episode just like Daria did.
