Um... there are many, but one that I can think of right now is Alex's reaction when he learns that Elyse is pregnant: "Girls... Mom's pregnant. Please leave the room, this is not a topic for females." http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Always cracks me up!

In the episode where Jennifer was trying to act cool and was saying, 'It's like, totally narly, ok?' That line I always find so funny.

Jennifer: Don't worry...he's not a normal boy.

Alex: You can be my friend even if you're not a republican.

My fave quote was from Steven who complains about the fact that the kids turned the house into a hotel on homecoming weekend.
Steven: Alex, parents are conditioned to accept certain problems when they leave their children alone at home. Spilled milk on the rug... a broken dish... There was a kangaroo in my living room.
Alex: It was just here for the party Dad.
Steven: Then I guess I'm overreacting.

Jennifer: I like the high school Mallory better than the college Mallory.

Alex: I think the entire line should be discontinued.

Lol, that was pretty funny. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think my fave is when Elyse was showing Andy the family photos and making sure he knew was who, and she pointed to one picture and she said, "Who's that?" and Andy said, "That's Alex" and Elyse asked who Alex was, and Andy said, "Alex is KING!" LOL I just thought that line was so cute.

Alex: People who have money, don't need people. Because it sums up his character in one sentence.

Mallory: Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apperatise
Alex: By Goerge i think she's got it!
All the kids start jumping up and down and repeating SCUBA
Alex: And who invented it?

So I probably haven't watched the show long enough to *really* be able to give a fav quote, but I can't help it, I love this bit *so much*!
Elyse: Have a good day at kindergarden today?
Alex: It was okay. We made pictures. *shows picture*
Elyse: Alex, this is beautiful! This is the nicest picture you've ever given me!
Alex: Thank you Mommy. I was thinking about you when I bought it.
Elyse: You bought it?
Alex: Uh-huh. Roger Zimmerman. He's the most talented artist in our class. Nothing's too good for *my* mommy!
Perfect display of his character, cracks me up, and it's *so adorable*!

Well, hmm, let's see. I agree with Winnie! That was the one I had in mind too.. Just the way Michael Gross delivers some of his lines makes them hysterical, and that one was no exception. If I had to pick one though, it would be...
Actually,I can't remember the exact quote, which will probably take the humor right out of this one, but I really liked the episode where Alex hired the house keeper who couldn't cook or clean and he asks here "so you have no experence, you can't clean, and you can't cook?" or something along those lines, then when she answers "no", he says "you're hired!" That was great!

Mallory: "Alex, I told you whenever you take a message to write down who called, when they called, and what it was about."
Alex: "I did. Somebody stupid called, sometime today, about something trivial."
Mallory: "Alex, you know that could be *ANY* one of my friends!"

(playing Scrabble)
Steven: "What kind of a word can you make with 3 U's?"
Alex: "Ushnuu. From the Greek. It means to towel off."
Steven: "Use it in a sentence."
Alex: "After I zoquo, I like to ushnuu."

i always find those quotes rather amusing. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you guys can post all your favorite quotes here, it would REALLY be helping me out. I'm starting up a Family Ties website and I want to get a listing of all people's favorite quotes. Just leave your quote, name/website (if you have one) and I'll post it up ASAP. Thanks so much :)

Hey, I know this topic is kinda old, but I was watching FT that we taped sevral days ago, and thought id bring it up again. I was watching the episode where Skippy finds out he is adopted. I thought this quote was really funny!

Alex, "Look, when you were seven years old, and you got your head caught in the banister, who got you loose?"

Skippy, "My mom."

Alex, "Which mom?"

Skippy, "The one that raised me, Mrs. Handleman."

Alex, "That's right ... and when you were thirteen years old, and you got your head caught in the banister, who got you loose?"

Skippy, "Well that time it was my dad, Mr Handleman.."

Alex, "Skip, if it wasn't for those two people, your head would be stuck in that banister, until now!"

Skippy, "That's true."

Just thought it was funny.

I like the part when Alex asks: "Dad, do you plan on being mad at us for the rest of our life?" and the dad says "That is my plan." The way Michael Gross says things definitly makes it funnier.

I like the part in "Father, Can You Spare a Dime?" when Nick's dad goes over to the Keaton's house, and he and Nick start exchanging "Hey"s, and Steven says, "Oh my gosh, they're speaking Nickanese!"
