View Full Version : Worst Movies Youve Seen? Cactus Jack 06-04-2005, 02:12 PM Whatare they? TJL 06-04-2005, 02:32 PM Of all the lame movies I've seen, some of them I watch so I can make fun of them for my DVD reviews, the worst one was probably the remake of "Rollerball." It is without a doubt the worst movie I have ever seen. I couldn't even come up with a review of it, it was that bad. AllIWantIsYourClutch 06-04-2005, 02:54 PM I watched this completely random indie movie the other day called Cold Grip. Oh my god...That was the worst movie I've ever seen. TripperFan 06-04-2005, 03:24 PM I cannot stand the "Blade" movies!! My husband loves them and tries to get me to watch them. Of this latest one (playing on PPV) I had to ask if they're to be played for laughs (like the Batman series was). They actually speed up the film when the vampires are running or fighting!!! Its so incredibly cheesy!! And when its not just stupid dialogue, the rest is dark, violent as hell and depressing! You feel like killing yourself after watching it. The other 2-hr waste of time that comes to mind was Independence Day. The only part I liked in the whole thing was when Will punches out the alien in the desert. I mean, the chick had so many wardrobe changes during the attack that I thought I was watching Diana Ross - and yeah, they're going to upload a virus from a MAC into an alien computer system - since when did earth network with aliens and aliens use "earth time"? And Goldblum smoking a cigar in the spaceship? Yeah, no explosion with pure oxygen there! I don't care what the special effects are - if the plot is stupid or weak, it ruins the whole thing for me. barwars 06-04-2005, 06:26 PM Johnson Family Vacation comes to mind, along with the made-for-TV-movie Home Alone 4. I also despised Fat Man & Little Boy -- a movie about bombs, where nothing explodes?! HuntingtonM15 06-04-2005, 06:30 PM The other 2-hr waste of time that comes to mind was Independence Day. I agree with that one. I never saw the appeal of that movie. It was one of the worst theater experiences for me. That along with The Peacemaker and Ocean's 12. It seems like all of the bad movies are always at least 2 hours or more! Courtnee 06-04-2005, 06:38 PM Superstar. That movie sucked ass Rhiannon 06-04-2005, 07:27 PM Superstar. That movie sucked ass I thought I was the only one that hated it. I also hated Patton and Saving Silverman. *MIBabe03* 06-04-2005, 08:31 PM Johnson Family Vacation comes to mind, along with the made-for-TV-movie Home Alone 4. I also despised Fat Man & Little Boy -- a movie about bombs, where nothing explodes?! LMAO about Fat Man & Little Boy. On the plus side, John Cusack had a pretty bad ass death in that movie. The worst movie for me was Rules of Attraction. Nighthawk76 06-04-2005, 09:09 PM I am also not a big fan of Independence Day. I remember really looking forward to seeing that movie. Then when I was in the theater watching it I remember thinking to myself, "Well, there are some cool scenes with buildings being blown up, but that is about it." The only good thing about seeing Independence Day was that they showed a preview of Star Trek-First Contact, a great movie! :D The worst movie I have ever see would probably be Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Ben Afflect. I thought that was a truly awful movie. That scene between Liv Tyler and Affect about the animal crackers was so totally lame. JDS84 06-04-2005, 09:25 PM Johnson Family Vacation Signs Rhiannon 06-04-2005, 09:34 PM I The worst movie I have ever see would probably be Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Ben Afflect. That scene between Liv Tyler and Affect about the animal crackers was so totally lame. :clap Ya know I wanted to say Armageddon too, but thought people would think I was just bashing "sci-fi flicks" or something! That was the worst piece of s^%$ I think I've seen. I fell asleep and woke up around the time they're on this stupid mediorite (sp?) or something and then yeah - that goofy ending - OH MY GOD! And yeah - we had to go see it the day it opened on July 4th - waited in line forever in the hot sun and for what! I came out of the theatre telling everyone in line not to waste their time or money! And we did go see First Contact and I was hooked on Star Trek after that!! Borgs rock~! Cactus Jack 06-04-2005, 09:47 PM I didnt like Bicentennial Man much at all Kemistry 06-05-2005, 09:46 AM Friday The 13th Part 3 Snuff Soul Plane (If I remember the title right) National Lampoon's Doom Daze (Again, I think that's the right title) I could go on but my line of expertise is the horror genre and don't know if anyone here is really into those films, I did add a couple above however.. CliffClavin 06-06-2005, 02:23 PM I agree very much with this list: http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom TripperFan 06-06-2005, 02:32 PM I agree very much with this list: http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom Heeeeyyyyyy - Santa Claus Conquers The Martians is a CLASSIC!!! Now that's quality viewing!!! (what was somebody smokin' when they dreamt that one up?!) Van_Smack 06-06-2005, 04:38 PM East of Eden was HORRIBLE. I also didn't like 28 grams very much. Or was it 21 grams? Either way, it was bad. Johnny Five 06-08-2005, 07:02 PM Anything that starts with "National Lampoon's" However, the worst movie I have ever seen is Fahrenheit 451. That was bad. TheHappyBurgerMeister 06-08-2005, 10:54 PM Anything that starts with "National Lampoon's" Even the ones with The Griswald's? (Chevy Chase)? Wow. I thought all of those were funny. I didn't like Blair Witch AT ALL! Eww. But honestly I really can't think of any other movies I really hated. I RARELY go to movies in the theatres and when I do, I always make sure to pick good ones. I have never walked out of a movie in my life. Czas na Zywiec 06-11-2005, 02:59 AM I was expecting something great out of the Village, but it was AWFUL. I can't believe I sat all the way through that crap. I would have chucked the DVD out the window, but I had to return it the next day. Seinatra 06-15-2005, 10:26 AM Of all the lame movies I've seen, some of them I watch so I can make fun of them for my DVD reviews, the worst one was probably the remake of "Rollerball." It is without a doubt the worst movie I have ever seen. I couldn't even come up with a review of it, it was that bad. Is that Never Say Never Again? dlemond 06-15-2005, 02:11 PM From recent memory: Cradle 2 the Grave 15 Minutes Don't Say a Word The Mexican These big budgeted movies all sucked big time. One of the worst ever I would have to say is Intersection with Richard Gere. Just awful. ABlairican Pie 06-16-2005, 08:06 AM Instinct with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. dandelion wine 06-16-2005, 09:41 PM Two that always.. always come to mind as far as Worst Movies Ever Seen would be A Return to Salem's Lot and Jaws: The Revenge. Absolute stinkers! Mikado 07-11-2005, 04:16 AM The Money Pit...is it any wonder Shelley Long's movie career went into the dumper with a debut like THIS film? ( Weirdly, Co-star Tom Hanks is the greatest actor of our times ) I litterally sat watching this film and predicted every single scene before it happened...hard to believe this load of flower food:barf: ( hehe ) was directed by Speilberg  ; guess he had to start somewhere! Superstar 07-11-2005, 09:15 AM Shrek 2 Lizzie McGuire Movie TripperFan 07-11-2005, 09:22 AM The Money Pit...is it any wonder Shelley Long's movie career went into the dumper with a debut like THIS film? I couldn't STAND that movie. The original with Cary Grant was much better. I hate Shelly Long anyway (except for playing Carol Brady). And Spielberg had made a name for himself LONG before this piece of crap (it wasn't at the beginning of his career by far). I guess everyone's allowed a stinker now and then though. Mysty Eyes 07-11-2005, 10:09 AM I've seen many I did not like, but the one that jumps into my mind the quickest: JFK Boring, boring, boring... super long, with a wooden starring performance by Kevin Costner. Bad accent. Long diatribe monologue, dull. The film may have been interesting IF I had never read the several JFK conspiracy books that I have read. However, I do read... and the film offered nothing fresh. Mikado 07-11-2005, 12:54 PM I agree! I couldn't STAND that movie. The original with Cary Grant was much better. Rene 08-08-2005, 03:38 PM from justin to kelly-i fell asleep and walked out dumb and dumberrer the new guy-it was lke they put it together ina matter of minutes Karen* 08-08-2005, 06:07 PM I agree very much with this list: http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom lolz I own Spice World, Mortal Kombat: Anihilation, and Street Fighter. I actually enjoyed the last two. :o Anyways, I didn't like The Mexican starring Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. My sibs, cousins, and I watched it in our hotel room in Reno several years ago and it was listed under the Comedy genre. Hell, it was nowhere near funny! Steve M. 08-09-2005, 02:00 PM Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band (1978) Thnak God It's Friday (1978) Rocky II (1979) Americathon (1979) The Cannonball Run (1981) Desparately Seeking Susan (1985) V.I. Warshawski (1990) Total Recall (1990) Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) Steve M. 08-09-2005, 02:03 PM Is that Never Say Never Again? No, that's the remake of Thunderball. Rollerball is completely different. Steve M. 08-09-2005, 02:10 PM Anything that starts with "National Lampoon's" However, the worst movie I have ever seen is Fahrenheit 451. That was bad. Really? Francois Truffaut's only English-language picture? I saw Fahrenheit 451 and I liked it a lot. Truffaut was dissatisfied with how it came out, but Ray Bradbury thought it perfectly captured the essence of his book. The abosolute worst Francois Truffaut movie ever was 1972's Such a Gorgeous Kid Like Me. :barf: Film Comment ran a long article looking back on Truffaut's career after he died in 1984, and that was the only movie of his they declined to even mention. |
