Well the GM for th 76ers wanted Cheeks in 2003 but he was still under contract with Portland. But it wasn't like the 76ers had a losing season. Billy King is ********. That's true. Since Larry left in May of 2003, The 76ers hired Randy Ayers in June of 2003. Then after 52 Games the 76ers fired Ayers in Feb of 2004. Then they gave Chris Ford head coaching duties until the remainder of the season and then hired Jim Obrien. And Obrien was only fired because Mo Cheeks was fired by Portland. If Cheeks was still coaching the Blazers, Jim Obrien would still be working.

We'll see how long Maurice Cheeks will last with the Sixers. Iverson said he was so happy to have Maurice as the coach, he wanted to kiss him LOL.
