Geez...The PS2 came out in like my sophomore year of HS, and it cost about $500-$700 then. I thought THAT was a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost that much. :eek:

i heard they were different, but that makes a lot more sense :grr:

PS/PSOne are essentially the same, but there ARE minor differences.

Personally, I like the continuity with PS/PS1/PS2/PS3. Helluva lot better than "GameCube" or "XBox 360"...both just sound...silly.

Ewww! It's rather ugly... I'm hoping for something truly spectactular in the next Nintendo system.

Considering I only use my PS2 to watch DVDs, I can safely say I won't be getting this.

I already wasted my money on a PS2, so I'll avoid buying this one.

I am happy with my PS2,and even then I'm not a video game fanatic,so money could be better spent.

I've already had 3 PS2's and 2 of them have stopped working for no reason. So I hope they fix that problem with this one.

.... I am getting rather irritated about the number of Game Boys they are spewing out... How could an ordinary person keep up?

I have no interest I'm a Nintendo girl at heart and I learned my lesson when I got a Playstation 2 and hated it, I ended up using it just as a dvd player and then my brother bought me an actual dvd player to replace my broken one and then I took the PS2 and traded it in for a used Gamecube.

I am definitely getting Nintendo's next generation system. When it launches next year, there will be a Super Smash Bros. game with online play. Best of all the online system will be wireless out of the box and free.

The thing that really sold me on it was that it is going to have past Nintendo games (NES, SNES, and N64) up for download.

I've started saving up for one next year.

It's gonna be a tough choice for me - XBox 360 or the Playstation 3. I don't know much about hardware, but it kind of sounds like PS3 is a little more powerful, plus they always have the edge on games..except for the Halo franchise, and therein lies the dilemma.

i'm going for PS3, but i am interested in the Nintendo, never was a fan of Xbox
