View Full Version : TV Land needs to change their schedule Tundra Wolf 05-04-2005, 06:44 AM Come on! They've had the same schedule for like, 5 months now! And it's a BAD ONE! No good shows are ever on anymore! Why can't they change it!?!? :( bubba2000 05-04-2005, 10:32 PM i agree. they need to get some new stuff that hasn't been seen in a while. there is so much out there and they keep playing the same shows all the time. i love the idea of tv land but i have sort of stopped watching it now. i got my fix of the shows that are on now (love mr. ed, dick van dyke), but they have shown them enough. they need a new direction, maybe differnt parts of the day could reflect programing from different decades. this tv land origenal shows crap needs to stop. Brent88 05-04-2005, 11:27 PM  It's funny... people complain when they change it every 2 weeks and complain when they don't change it at all for months!! :p TVFactFan 05-04-2005, 11:41 PM TV LAND Programming as of May 4, 2005 is A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too many Westerns Too Many Shows from the 60's They Hold on to some shows forever-Happy Days and Sanford and Son TripperFan 05-04-2005, 11:43 PM  It's funny... people complain when they change it every 2 weeks and complain when they don't change it at all for months!! :p  I know what you mean, but they DO seem to keep the crap lineups on for months and months and then they hit a good mix and its gone in three weeks - drives met nuts. rodwayne 05-05-2005, 10:32 AM Don't worry;N@N T.V. Land will be changing their schedule, and it won't be for the best!Visit Sticky's message to get the latest run-down on the popose schedule.Thank it's bad now;well,YOU AIN"T SEEN NOTHING YET!!! Those original shows will make new episodes like every three-four months, probably even longer. They aren't going to be getting new episodes every week, unless it's a planned event, like Chasing Farrah was. The reruns aren't going anywhere anytime soon... TV DVD Fan 05-05-2005, 07:11 PM um... a classic tv network, is in other words a re-run channel, JT. pat Pavan 05-05-2005, 07:45 PM Having originals ONCE a week for 30 min or 60 min is not bad at all I think. You might think it is bad, but it brings in fresh new viewers. And TV Land's originals are actually decent. The top 10's are very good, Inside TV Land is awesome, and Chasing Farrah was OK, and was only for 7 episodes, it's not like they air 7 days a week. Reruns of classic TV still make up 99% of the schedule and always will. And the reason why there has been no schedule change really since well last May, is because everything has been very steady and good. Especially the westerns, Andy Griffith, Beaver, All in the Family and Three's Company. Good Times and Night Court are coming soon, so expect some changes then, but nothing major really (at least as of now). boechsner 05-06-2005, 01:09 AM Having originals ONCE a week for 30 min or 60 min is not bad at all I think. Or what day is that, I know it's coming up. Pavan 05-06-2005, 10:01 AM Is Monday, May 9th the day Nick at TV Land announce new acquisitions?? Or what day is that, I know it's coming up. Their upfront was this past Tuesday, and I don't think they announced any of their six sitcoms coming. My guess is they'll announce 2 or 3, or maybe all, in July for the TCA Summer Tour. Tundra Wolf 05-07-2005, 02:57 PM It's just a bad schedule... Nothing good is on ever anymore. And when something good is on, I'm either asleep or at school! Come on! It's so annoying! Give me some good old sitcoms instead of these crappy westerns like Gunsmoke... TVFactFan 05-07-2005, 03:44 PM TBS, N@N, and ABC Family all have more appealing TV Shows that TV LAND. There is no reason for 6-hours of Gunsmoke/Bonanza. TV LAND has gotten a LITTLE creative with the TOP TEN but still have a long way to go. Tundra Wolf 05-07-2005, 08:18 PM Yeah, who wants to watch boring westerns for 6 hours? Not me... They need a lot more variety in their schedule. TVFactFan 05-07-2005, 08:22 PM Yeah, who wants to watch boring westerns for 6 hours? Not me... They need a lot more variety in their schedule. I guess TV LAND has to think about their viewers from the ages of 55-85 on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. But 6 hours is still too much PrettyinPink55 05-07-2005, 08:43 PM They NEED to put shows like "The Brady Bunch" and "Happy Days" at more watchable times. I love watching my "Three's Company at 10 & 10:30, however. It fits perfectly for me. I would also love it if TVLand would show "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "Gilligan's Island", and "The Facts of Life". :) PrettyinPink55 05-07-2005, 08:44 PM Oh, and "Bewitched!!" I miss watching that show!! It's never on!! :( TVFactFan 05-07-2005, 08:53 PM They NEED to put shows like "The Brady Bunch" and "Happy Days" at more watchable times. James"Thunder"Early 05-07-2005, 09:16 PM The time wasted on the westerns could be space for 12 different sitcoms or 6 different dramas or any other combination. I'm glad they are getting some new shows so all this crap will stop. Brent88 05-08-2005, 12:48 AM TBS, N@N, and ABC Family all have more appealing TV Shows that TV LAND. Not me... :barf: SpunkiiMonkii7078 05-08-2005, 03:54 AM I agree about the Western shows. I know there are fans of Bonanaza/Gunsmoke, but 6 HOURS??? Come on! That's not fair! Especially since the show is an hour long... Jessica Mr. Television 05-08-2005, 04:02 AM Westerns rock. They should get different westerns on though. Belair 05-08-2005, 07:20 AM Tell me about it! My tv channels have had the same old lineup for months now.Enough already! |
