What do you think are the best songs from a movie? Penny Lane 04-21-2005, 09:07 AM My favorite is" I've Had The Time Of My Life" from Dirty Dancing. *MIBabe03* 04-21-2005, 02:47 PM My favorite is" I've Had The Time Of My Life" from Dirty Dancing. At the end when that song was playing and they got the lift, I almost cried. Aside from that song I do enjoy all of the songs from Grease, and also Chicago. ugotitdude 04-21-2005, 03:12 PM I like most of the songs from Saturday Night Fever & Urban Cowboy. Nighthawk76 04-21-2005, 03:18 PM "Flashdance...What a Feeling" from Flashdance MariposaLKB 04-21-2005, 07:34 PM All the songs from "Labyrinth" (by one of my idols, David Bowie, who also played the goblin king Jareth) and Neil Diamond's version of "The Jazz Singer" (Yes, the movie was terrible--and Neil is NO actor LOL--but the songs were up to his usual high standard!). Everything in "West Side Story", "My Fair Lady", and "Phantom of the Opera". "Where is Love?" and "As Long as He Needs Me" from "Oliver". "By My Side" from "Godspell". "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from "Jesus Christ Superstar". (Can you tell I love Broadway and/or West End musicals put on film LOL?) "It Might Be You" from "Tootsie". "How Deep is Your Love?" from "Saturday Night Fever". The theme from "Neverending Story". "Lara's Theme" from "Dr. Zhivago". "Too Beautiful to Last" from "Nicholas and Alexandra" "A Time for Us" from the 1968 version of "Romeo and Juliet". (The last three were played before the ceremony at my wedding :) ). Oh, and my favorite song intended for a movie that didn't make it: "Always" by Bon Jovi, which was written for the movie "Romeo is Bleeding" (Hence the opening line, "This Romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood"). Belair 04-21-2005, 08:03 PM I've had the time of my life-Dirty Dancing Dont wanna miss a thing-Armageddon (makes me cry every time) Steve M. 04-27-2005, 01:24 PM "Everybody's Talkin'" by Harry Nilsson from Midnight Cowboy |
