Here's a 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30. I'd like to add that I encourage the posting of other types of Oldsmobiles on this thread besides muscle cars.

View Full Version : The Oldsmobile Picture Thread D-Dey 04-08-2005, 01:13 PM Here's a 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30. I'd like to add that I encourage the posting of other types of Oldsmobiles on this thread besides muscle cars. D-Dey 04-08-2005, 01:51 PM Here are some old ones. A 1901 model, and a 1905 model. The '05 one is at the Suffolk County Historical Society Museum. http://www.schs-museum.org/museum.php Steve M. 04-11-2005, 12:01 AM Here's a 1973 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon! :D http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/pictures/1973_Oldsmobile_Custom_Cruiser.jpg Looks like a hearse with the tailfins and rear wheel well skirts, no? With Oldsmobile gone and with SUV's the new family haulers, this car represents two things you'll see a lot less of soon - Oldsmobiles and station wagons! Fleet 04-11-2005, 01:38 AM Very nice '72 Olds 442! If I was driving that, it would be hard for me to resist lighting the tires! And that nice, big wagon looks nice, too. I'd much rather have that than a modern SUV. For one thing, the wagons had a better ride. musicradio77 04-11-2005, 05:37 PM Here's another car. This time, it's a Rocket 88 from Oldsmobile. http://www.loti.com/1950_oldsmobile_88-2.jpg That car was named after Jackie Brenston's very first rock & roll record back in 1951 called "Rocket 88". Steve M. 04-11-2005, 10:11 PM Nothing says Oldsmobile like the Cutlass Supremes of the seventies and eighties! This Cutlass Supreme is a 1987 model. http://www.leonardtemple.com/images/cutlass/cutlass_right.jpg The Cutlass Supreme was Oldsmobile's entry in the intermediate "personal luxury" coupe market. For those of you too young to remember, personal luxury coupes were stylish-looking, conservative coupes for middle-aged suburbanites who wanted something less stodgy than a sedan but less flashy than a 2+2 sports coupe. Plus, they were for people who listened to Barry Manilow. The Cutlass Supreme pictured here has a slightly less conservative trim package. ;) D-Dey 04-15-2005, 11:58 AM Here's a 1973 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon! I wouldn't say station wagons are dead yet, but here's a Custom Cruiser I like much better -- the last ones from 1991 and 1992. http://auto.consumerguide.com/images/autoreview/400x266/1991-92-Oldsmobile-Custom-Cruiser-92128251990001.JPG And it's not one that has been given Chevy Impala SS parts either. Steve M. 04-27-2005, 09:45 PM The Cutlass Supreme was more rounded in appearance, and sportier, Here's a 1996 model. http://www.theautochannel.com/media/photos/oldsmobile/96_oldsmobile_cutlasssupreme_slcoupe.jpg This was not your father's Oldsmobile. Steve M. 04-27-2005, 09:48 PM This was! http://www.saturnfans.com/photos/data/500/85811975_Olds_Cutlass_Supreme_red_fsvL.jpg (A 1975 Cutlass Supreme.) Steve M. 09-25-2005, 02:09 PM And here's a 1991 Cutlass Supreme convertible! http://www.4wheelz.com/oldsmobile/new/cutlass_supreme/oldsmobile_cutlass_supreme_1991.jpg THis is an Olds either you or your father would have liked to own! ;) Southern Hellraiser 09-25-2005, 05:31 PM 2001 Olsmobile Alero http://elepent.com/photos/oldsmobile/alero.jpg Steve M. 10-01-2005, 08:22 PM A two-tone Cutlass Supreme! This Cutlass Supreme is a 1987 model. http://www.leonardtemple.com/images/cutlass/cutlass_right.jpg lol...we used to have one like that. Someone slashed the tires on it while we were in KC. Stormtracker TF 01-23-2006, 04:35 AM http://www.4wheelz.net/virtual/carz/oldsmobile/1995_cutlass/oldsmobile_cutlass_supreme_convertible2.jpg I'd take that car in black with a white interior. I'm not particular. http://www.geocities.com/amphipoda/CutlassFront2.JPG Bobby F. 01-23-2006, 11:15 AM Here's a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont. Does anyone know the history behind the most famous Olds in history??:D D-Dey 01-04-2007, 01:14 PM I just found this old print ad for the 1965 Oldsmobile Starfire featuring Florence Henderson from The Old Car Manual Project website: http://www.tocmp.com/pix/Olds/images/FlorenceHendersoncarad2.jpg D-Dey 01-04-2007, 01:43 PM Now this is unusual. A 1937 Oldsmobile Panel Truck. Not a sedan delivery, but an actual panel truck, like the Chevy & GMC that the Suburban is based on. Steve M. 10-14-2017, 12:18 PM The first one got archived and can't be updated, so here's another. This is a mid-eighties vintage Cutlass Supreme. JSP 10-15-2017, 08:27 PM I wish they still made Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs.
