Tonight at 2:00am local time, most of the United States(except for portions of Arizona and Indiana) will go on Daylight Savings Time. You will lose an hour of sleep. :( But the sunset will be an hour later in the evening.

Right now we have the same time as eastern but we'll be on the same time as central now since they're moving an hour ahead.

so when does the sun set there.. after 9?

It will be about 9:15(I'm on Eastern time because I'm right on the AL/GA line) when June/July comes around... tomorrow night it'll be 8:00pm.

I know. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I can go for a bike ride after work without it getting dark by 5:00.

Great [/sarcasm] I don't WANT the sun to set later. I wish it was always nighttime. It's my favorite time of the day. Screw sunlight.

I set my clock ahead at 10 PM, moving it forward to 11 PM. Do not want to be late
for church Sunday morning.

Gr...I hate setting clocks forward!

It's easier than setting them back, cuz then you have to go all the way around. This way you just press forward once and wa la.

So let me see if I've got this straight...

A show that came on at 8pm last week will come on at 9pm this week? I like Eastern Time better anyway. 8-11pm is Primetime. :D

I read somewhere that it got started with World War 1. I think it had something to do with farmers.

It did have to do with WWI but not farmers, in fact farmers don't like Daylight Saving time. Thats why Indinana doesn't have it.
It actually started to conserve electricity in a time of war.
