Can you imagine Herman speaking chinese or some other language? It's must be a riot for the translators trying to mimick the laugh.

I think their view of the show would depend in how familiar they are with the old Universal monster movies.

I live in Canada, and you'd be amazed at how well the show translates into Canadian!!! (I take it that reference is more for Mexico, France, etc.! - I hope anyway)!!! :lol:

I can't imagine watching The Munters in Russian. I know its because of the Cold War but in some episodes there are some jokes made about the Russians. There are a lot more like that on Gilligan to and any other 60's show.

I thought almost 50% of Canada was French-speaking?

A friend of mine fed the lyrics of songs into, I don't know, some translatin' thingy on the 'net, and had them translated to Chinese and back to English. It's pretty funny how they came out.

I have some Spanish episodes from Venezuela (although not currently with me). I plan to eventually make some video clips, because I think it's interesting to hear what kind voices characters receive in other countries.
