These boards are rightfully filled with lots of worrying over the fate of American Dreams, as time goes by, it begins to look worse. I'm aware that there's already a thread on good news only, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of good news to go around. I figured I'd make a little pool, being that I have plenty of time on my hands. Feel free to add more on as it goes along.
Favorite Musical Guest Star: Up until recently it was Jennifer Love Hewitt as Nancy Sinatra, but after being blown away by Joss Stone's performance in "Starting Over", I changed my answer. The entire ending sequence was amazing.
Biggest Tear Jerker: Helen crying for JJ as the candle burned out in "What Dreams May Come". The rapid hope loss of the entire episode hit me hard.
Funniest Character: Definitely Roxanne, who's antics continually crack me up. She provides plenty of much needed lightness, especially when the show is so heavy with the drama.
Favorite "B" Character: (Anyone who is not a main cast member qualifies.) My choice is definitely Uncle Pete, with Nathan at a close second. Even though they are only guest stars, they've definitely grown from their first appearance on the show. I also like that neither is black or white, good or evil, both are loveable, but when it comes to morals, they are definitely deep shades of gray.
Most Shocking Plot Twist: Beth's pregnancy had my jaw on the floor. I'd love to know if I was the only one who didn't see this one coming.
Best Ending Sequence: One that really stuck with me was the ending of "Ticket to Ride", when Will was preparing for surgery and Jack entered the Church. Of course, "What Dreams May Come" and "Starting Over" greatly rival this one. I also loved the end of "Silent Night"...I better stop now, I'm never going to be able to stop.
Best Kiss: The one that held the most meaning was Sam and Meg's recent kiss, even if it was only the cheek. Fans had been cheering these two on for years, to finally have a kiss, as heartbreaking as it was, meant a lot to me and all of the other fans.
Favorite Episode: I'm going to go with Tidings of Comfort and Joy, the limited commercial break episode that featured several major plot points on the show. JJ's coming home had been a long time coming.
That's all I've got for now, if you can think of anything else to add to the poll, go for it. It'll be nice to have some brighter thing's to discuss. -Brian
