I know theres slightly modified versions of the NBC themes over the years but they're still the same basic thing. same with with the lifetime one

The NBC one. Spooky and cool. :cool:

CBS and Lifetime are OK, but they don't do the show justice.

Of the themes listed, my favorite is the NBC version since it's creepier and cooler than the succeeding themes. When I first watched UM, I heard Lifetime's version of the show's theme and I thought it sounded good at first but NBC's version is way better.

All of themes can be quite scary, especially when listening to them at night when you're home alone. :eek: But, I would have to say my favorite is the NBC theme song because its just cooler and that was when Unsolved Mysteries had better segments and creepier music with it! :cool:

Definately the original NBC version followed by the Lifetime version. I don't care much for the theme with the greenish misty background. I wish they would release a soundtrack album from this show.

the NBC theme although I don't remember the CBS one(If I have heard it before then I must have forgotten about it) the Lifetime theme is okay too. I'd love a CD with all of the themes on it too

The best theme, hands down, is the NBC opening theme from '87 to the '92-'93 season. It's great when trying to get a midnight thrill.

I do, however, like the techno one that's on the official DVDs (from Lifetime's production for the final season of the real show with Stack) simply because of the part where there's a flash and the title shows up.
And the CBS one (with the mist) scared the **** out of me when I was a kid. So that gives it points in my book. It's also pretty cool and spooky.

But the NBC one has that feel that none of the other ones could top!

The original theme song scared me the most. I think UM was just flat out scary when I first watched it as a kid. But it was one of those things that it was so interesting that you had to watch. the music was incredible especially during the segments and gave the viewer an understanding of what was coming next.

Agreed! That era had the best UM segments in my opinion, with the creepiest vibes.
