The problem with that is that the contestants can't just take a song and sing it. They have to get the rights to sing it. Songs are copyrighted and there aren't a lot to choose from because there are some that aren't cleared or won't be. This is why some contestants have done songs that have been done previously.

Yah but like lastnight.. the 60s was a WHOLE decade so its not like they only had 20 songs to choose from. As for next week, who knows. Im sure one or 2 will be repeated. Its not that I mind when they repeat, its just that they dont do it as well.

I want Carrie to branch out a little.. her part in the group song showed how awesome she sounds with things other than country. I don't want her to think that she HAS to sing a country song or else she's selling out and not being who she is, because she can always make the song country.
