Ok, thought I'd start a new thread. David is infamous for his witty one liners -so what's everyone's favourite?

There are so many, but the one that comes to my mind at the moment is when Maddie comes into her office and David is sat at her desk wearing those 3D glasses and he says that she must be wearing a lead dress cause he can't see a thing.

i don't know. he had so many great one liners and such. too many to number.

The line in Next Stop Murder always cracks me up....when Maddie says "HA! I was not born yesterday!" And David's reply: "She's right. I had lunch with her yesterday. If she'd been born, I'd have noticed."

This one isn't so funny but I always liked it:

"...tall, blonde, icy, walks bowlegged but you don't mind." :D

How about this one:

"It's like taking candy from a baby, and later on, I'm going to take more candy from another baby." :D ;)

man,...you guys have this show memorized like i do sanford and son. i'm no match here against some of you.

Here's another good one (this is from All Creatures Great and Not So Great):

Maddie---Why are you so negative about this case?
David---Because we have better things to do than try and find a woman in a haystack.
Maddie---Like what?
David---Like roll around in a haystack.

LOL, I love all of those :D

I, off course, like this one:

Maddie: Get your hand off my behind.
David: Is that your behind?
Maddie: ...

Maddie: ...
David: That's what I like about this place, you'll learn something new every day.
Maddie: Will you get serious!

The look on Maddie's face is priceless after he said this :lol: I just had to rewind it to see it again :lol:

I also love the one where they're breaking into some door and he's waiting for her to get out a credit card and someone walk past and David says Look, would you be more comfortable in going to a hotel?' Can't remember the name of the episode.

Also, in Brother, Can You Spare a Blonde - where they're in the clothes shop, he says 'when they say virgin wool - how do they know?' And in the same scene, Maddie has a good line where she says something like 'when you've seen one guy in his socks you've seen them all, right?' I love it when she sinks to David's level of humour!

Oooh, and isn't this also the episode when he says to her, 'are you always this much fun in the morning?' and she replies, 'you're gonna die wondering?' Like that one too.

Hi all! :wave: New to message board and I have been a HUMONGOUS fan of Moonlighting since it first aired.

I have to say some of my favorite David lines come from "Money Talks, Maddie Walks". Such as:

"What's the matter, too much blood in your alcohol system?"

Maddie: Addison, I know that man!
David: That's ok. I'm your friend too and it doesn't make me want to end it all.

And of course the best ones are from "My Fair David" :

Maddie: Do you know what hurts the most?
David: Sure, you get a pimple on the inside of your nose, then you get a cold and you gotta blow....
Maddie: That's exactly what I mean!
David: And people say we're not alike!

hi there! Great to have you here - love your lines! Especially the ones from Money Talks, Maddie Walks - I had forgotten about that, but I adore that episode! Especially at the end when she goes back to look at what's on the card after the card game where David convinces her to fold. The look on her face - lmao. It's so funny when Maddie growls!!
