He was 89. Mijada 02-11-2005, 12:21 PM I just heard about that. I remember having to read Death of a Salesman in HS. RIP Arthur. phoebe7165 02-11-2005, 02:04 PM Besides being known as a great playwright, I'm sure you all know that he was the former Mr. Marilyn Monroe. *MIBabe03* 02-11-2005, 03:05 PM Besides being known as a great playwright, I'm sure you all know that he was the former Mr. Marilyn Monroe. Yep, I knew that. My Junior year in high school I did a research paper on Marilyn Monroe. RIP Arthur. I really enjoyed "The Crucible." Georgia's on my Mind 02-11-2005, 03:15 PM thats sad dawsongirl 02-11-2005, 05:43 PM To be honest, I thought he already was dead. Ironic though, there was a snipet in our paper about him because someone is performing the Crucible. TJL 02-12-2005, 12:05 AM One of the great writers of the 20th century. I had the pleasure of seeing one of his final plays "The Ride Down Mt. Morgan" with Patrick Stewart a few years ago. Mr. Television 02-12-2005, 02:03 AM Thats very sad. R.I.P. :( Janice 02-13-2005, 05:03 PM I love Miller's Death of A Salesman. It's such a sad tale of aging and broken dreams. About 3 or 4 years ago, I saw the play, with Brian Dennehy playing Willy Loman. We had front row seats. The rooms were like a carousel, and would turn as needed. It was amazing. rusyd 02-13-2005, 09:08 PM May he rest in peace. |
