View Full Version : Another TC survey!- EDITED
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 02:05 PM You guys seemed to like my previous survey, so I decided to make up more in depth questions for you to fill out.....Have fun!! :D
What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL) I'd have to say I loved the Terri years because a LOT of my favorite episodes came out during that time(besides the ending) and the humor had developed in leaps and bounds. It was more intellectual but still hysterical!
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?) Nope, none! I'd say Season 5 is my LEAST favorite but I still wouldn't cut it out.
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? Definately "Some of that Jazz". It nearly made me cry when he asked her to dance!
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? None!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing) Hm, probably "How Deep is your Love?" by the Bee Gees.
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best? I LOVED her in the first season with her shorter, poofier hair, knee socks, and bellbottoms. I thought she looked SO cute. I also thought she really looked good in Season 4 with her new pixie hairdo and form fitting clothes!
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to  ) I love love loooove him in the first few seasons when he wore his hair slightly shaggier and his bellbottoms were bigger....LOL. For example, the episodes "Roper's Car", "Alone Together", and "Days of Beer and Weeds." WOW! He also looked GREAT in his tight polo shirts around Season 7, I think...there was one episode where he wore a tight black shirt, khaki pants, and a bronze tan that just looked sooo GOOD *growls*
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? I didn't really like her hair or makeup in the later seasons(she looked like a clown!) I thought she looked best in Seasons 1 and 2-- so natural and feminine :)
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer Anything but the short perm look, I suppose. Terri, to me, was always pretty and her outfits were cute. I thought she looked really pretty in "Charming Stranger" with that pastel purple shirt on and her hair in a ponytail.
(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything! I thought she looked pretty all the time, actually!)
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill) I thought TC was excellent pretty much up until the ending and I don't necessarily think Cindy RUINED the show(although she's not my favorite blonde, some really good episodes came out during that time!) Honestly, for me, it's either when they made Chrissy REALLY stupid or when Jack got his Bistro. Although he was happy he got his life long wish and there was some good episodes from that time, I didn't prefer the Bistro over the Reagal Beagle(which basically disappeared after he got it). Does anyone else notice that the character of Jack got kinda cranky when he first got it?
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course) I'd say when Mrs. Roper said, "If I had son, I'd want him to be just like Jack." That really made me sad for some reason. Another, of course, is the dance at the end of "Some of That Jazz".
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper- I loved whenever she laughed- ex- The Love Diary when Stanley tells her Chrissy is in love with him....LOL, or whenever she got excited when she thought Stanley was gonna "give in" to her.
Mr. Roper- I thought he was HYSTERICAL in the Love Diary when he was winking, smiling, and brushing against Chrissy....hahaaha, or whenever he did his Tinkerbell thing. Another moment I can recall is from Jack the Giant Killer :
Mrs. R: " Stanley, wouldn't you like me coming to bed in this?" *points to lingerie in a catalogue*
Mr. R: *looking at a completely different page* "A golf cart?"
LMAO!!!! Whenever he says that, I am on the floor.
Jack- God, there are sooo many Jack moments. I'd have to say anything where he's drunk. And, of course, the Up in The Air sequence ( I especially love when he grabs Janet and the old lady and starts strutting away with the old lady.....hahahaahaha). I also love how he was trying to be all macho in "Macho Man". Sooo hysterical! Anyway...too many to mention here!
Janet- Not a moment per se, but I always loved it when she said, :You know", referring to sex....I think it was when she and Chrissy were celebrating her party in "Roper's Niece"...her face looked so cute! With Janet, it was more of the WAY she said things that made it so funny. I love when she gets mad at Jack :)
Chrissy- Chrissy was sooo funny in "Coffee, Tea, or Jack"....it was the first time I've ever seen her play up her sexiness(in a goofy way)...I loved her "hi" whisper and her wink...LMAO.
Terri- The one moment that sticks out in my mind is when she grabbed the check and ran out, saying, "Got it!" in "Out on a Limb"....I like when she's silly :) I loved her when she was being sarcastic with Larry and Jack :)
Mr. Furley- Haahaaha, when he was "exercising" in "Janet Shapes Up" He was also hysterical in "Macho Man"-- "HURRY UP!" LMAO
Larry- definately his whole stripping schtick in "Eleanor Returns"...."Girnonimo!!" LMAO  Also, in the "Older Woman"....Larry rocks!
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
Ok, this is how I picture MY perfect ending. First of all- Let's imagine Vicky never came in to the picture. I don't like her and never have- the girl had NO personality! As idealistic as this MAY seem to some, Janet and Jack fared better than Jack and Vicky. Plus, wouldn't it have been GREAT for that tension between them to just come to a head at the ending?! Lots of people have been wondering, "Will they or won't they?" for 8 seasons and it would've been great if the last few episodes somehow brought them closer together and realized they were more than friends(and it could've turned in to a GREAT spinoff if they chose to do a show on the marriage of Janet and Jack...they had excellent chemistry!) Maybe they could've had Jack PLANNING to run off with someone, to move out somehow....until Janet realizes that she has feelings for him and always has(and doesn't want him to leave). I would've rather have had Terri marry someone outside the apartment rather than Janet(because, until then, she didn't date all that often! It didn't make sense!) and then Terri could've stayed in California!(haahaha, could you just imagine if Terry and Larry would've married?! LOL) Well, there's my happy, idealistic and sappy ending ;)
swedeace 02-10-2005, 02:21 PM Cool!!!!!! Surveys!!!
What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL)
The Terri years! There were so many TC episodes that were adventerous (i.e. The Charming Stranger, the one where Jack & Janet think Terri's dating a serial killer, etc) that had so much fun and energy. And of course "Up in the Air" is just pure classic!
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?)
Not sure. They're all just hilarious!
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other?
"All of That Jazz" was just pure sweetness and classic.
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose?
Good question! I have no answer, unfortunately.
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing)
Not sure.
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best?
Her first season look she had awesome hairstyle. I'm not too crazy about her short hair. It makes her look much, much older than her character.
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to  )
His first season haircut!! It was a bit messy but cute. ;)
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer?
The first season, again. Her pigtail style was my least fave.
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer
The perm was cute!
Cindy's hairstyle preference?(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything!)
She did have a bit of a change in one episode. I think it was the one where she runs errands for her boss. I can't describe the style, but the ends were curled in or something. That was my fave!
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill)
The last episodes with everything going their own way - Jack meeting Vicky and Janet marrying Phillip. It was like their friendship was disentegrating.
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
I don't know.
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 02:24 PM Awww, thanks for filling it out :) I agree with you- the short hair on Janet did make her look older(CUTE but older).....I just love her early haircut for some reason :) It really accentuated her beautiful eyes :)
Fleet 02-10-2005, 04:49 PM I'll post my answers in a little while. For now, I'll say I like Janet's hair best around the time of the Christmas episode. Full and wavy. :)
Fleet 02-10-2005, 07:42 PM 1-What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL)

3-Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other?
4-If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose?

[B]12-Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever!
1. I prefer the Chrissy years, probably because that's how I was used to the show- with Chrissy.
2. Keep all the seasons- we need all the episodes we can get.
3. I agree, "All That Jazz." But many early episodes, too, like when Jack takes the blame at Janet's flower shop we she forgot to send an order.
4. Same theme song.
5. ?
6. Pretty much any clothing (even just a towel ;) ), I like her hair from seasons 1-3 best (see photo).
7. ?
8. The first season.
9. Yeah, the perm.
10. ?
11. Well, it took time to recover after Chrissy left. Other than that, about halfway through the last season, after about episode 155.
12. Jack and Janet get married, of course. But they still live in apartment 201! No moving out.
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 08:28 PM Aww, Fleet, I LOVE that pic you posted of Janet. She's so adorable in that hat! She had such a nice sense of style.
Terri Cardellini 02-10-2005, 09:58 PM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE season 6, it's my favorite, about 75% of my favorite episodes are from that season :D
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?)
i don't like season 2 or 3 that much, it's funny and everything but the show's just getting started and it's not at it's peak yet lol
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other?
"Some of that Jazz" omg that was sooooo sweet and i'd have to say the last couple episodes, you can tell that they really cared for each other
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose?
I have no clue, I like it just the way it is :)
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing)
hmmm probably "Heaven" by Bryan Adams I LOVE that song or umm "Never Had a Dream Come True" by S Club 7 OR this is my favorite song in the whole world "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best?
I thought she looked so cute in the first season and i also liked her hair longer in the seventh season
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to)
I LOVED his hair when it was all puffy like in "Jack the Ripper", so probably season four would be my favorite style for him
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer?
I liked mostly the second season for Chrissy like what retrogirl82 said in the episode "Alone Together", she looked nice
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer
omg I LOVE Terri's hair styles, she always looked nice, but i really liked it when it was curly and pulled up on both sides like in season 6, also i like how it looked in "Doctor in the House", but i hated her hair in "Itching for Trouble" omg what was she thinking
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill)
I think at the end with Philip and Vicky (yuck)
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course)
"Some of That Jazz" of course and omg i loved the end of "Star Struck" :D oh ya and at the end of "Jack Bares All (Part 2)" how can i forget that lol
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
ok this could take a while
Mrs. Roper- It's funny when she laughs lol
Mr. Roper- hmm i know there are a couple i like but i can't remember any at the moment  but i will evetually
Jack- OMG way too many, lol i loved when he played drunk lol that is HILARIOUS like in "Larry's Bride" and "Up in the Air", anytime he played drunk was a classic  I also loved "Jack the Ripper" and "Double Trouble", o ya and "Jack's Tattoo" (i keep thinking of more as i'm doing the rest of the survey lol)
Janet- hmm so many lol "A Night not to Remember" was a good one, and she was funny in "Breaking Up is Hard To Do" too, umm geez there are way too many to mention.
Chrissy- I think she was so funny in "The Root of All Evil" with the giraffe LOL
Terri- again way too many, lol she was great in "Hair Today Gone Tomorrow" when Jack says "Terri what am I going to do with you" and she says "Anything you want" she had sooo many good one-liners, like in "Navy Blues" when her and Janet are carrying the coffee machine (or whatever it is lol) and Jack says "Well where do you think i should put it" and she says "You don't wanna know" She was funny in "Diamond Jack" too, oh and "Out on a limb"
Mr. Furley- "The New Landlord" was funny for him and also "Jack the Ripper", but i LOVED in "Look What i Found" when he was talking to the kitten about his old cat that got hit by a car, that was soo sad :(
Larry- "Urban Plowboy" was funny with Larry and "The Impossible Dream" was a good one too.
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
Well to begin with get rid of Philip and Vicky (yuck again  ) and have Jack and Janet get married of couse, and have Terri get married to someone out of the show, or at least have a better ending. Terri marry Larry, now that would be a funny ending  Someone should have married someone from the show, lol even if it would have been Larry and Terri :D
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 10:08 PM Aww, I agree with you about Mr. Furley and the cat- that was so sad!! Don't you just wanna HUG him? LOL.
Great answers :) I'll have to watch "Itching for Trouble" again and look out for Terri's hair :)
LuLu Rogers 02-10-2005, 10:30 PM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL) I liked the Terri years best. Those were the best Jack episodes ever!
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?) Although some of them had flaws, there's really not any season I'd get rid of.
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? Definately "Some of that Jazz", "Friends and Lovers:Part1", and "Roper's Niece." All those J&J moments made me cry!
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? Love it the way it is!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing) Evergreen! That's the song that Jack asked Janet to dance to in "Some of that Jazz."
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best? I liked her hair in the 2nd season when it was short and curly! Those night shirts with her name on the back were AWESOME!

Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer?I like her side ponytail and daisy duke shorts!
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer? I liked her hair when she first joined the cast.
(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything!)
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill) I thought TC was excellent, but Lana & Cindy caused ratings to drop somewhat.
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course) I'd say "Some of that Jazz" and "Roper's Niece."
Ok listeach MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper-When Roper said "No more parties!" and she says "Is that your final word?" he says "Yes!" and she says "Good. We won't be hearing any more from you."
Mr. Roper- I like his "tinkerbell" impressions!
Jack- OMG! There are so many! I love it when he says "Hurt me!" My favorite moment was in "Jack's Tattoo" when he put the moves on Janet! LOL!
Janet- In "Chrissy Date" when she said all men should wear a wedding ring through their nose! LOL!
Chrissy- I can't remeber the episode, but it's when she reads the obituaries and says "It's happening again! Every time I read these people die in alphabetical order! LOL!
Terri- I like it when Jack says "Blondes do have more fun" and she says "then why do I get stuck with you?"
Mr. Furley- When he was "exercising" in "Janet Shapes Up"
Larry- When he plays Mrs. Furley! LAMO!
Ok last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
Jack tells Janet that he can't live without her and asks her to marry him. She says yes & they get married & live in the apartment above his Bistro. Larry and Terri also get married & live in apartment 201. That would be AWESOME!!
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 10:35 PM I LOVE your ending, #1 John Ritter fan!! That would be too damned cute...and I agree with you- Jack in a box(ooo I made a double entendre!) is just fooking HOT!!
By the way, I love that avatar...where did you find the pic for that? He's gorgeous.
Kristen J. 02-10-2005, 11:17 PM WHOO-HOO!! Another Survey!! Thanks Kristel!!
What TC era do you prefer (The Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years)? : I would have to say the Chrissy years. I like the years when they're all young, like they're a bunch of high school kids. From the Chrissy era, I like the first and second seasons.
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series? : I'm not really sure. There are some episodes from the 5th season I didn't really like, and the rest of the series I really enjoyed. But there aren't really any I would take out.
Which moment do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? : Good question!! There are so many. I really like how sweet Jack is to the girls. Every hug, every kiss, every 'I Love You' I think is very loving and sincere. I really like "Some Of That Jazz", another great JJ moment. I also like "Star Struck", and I love the part when Jack gives Terri the rose and then she starts crying and they both hug. Another Jack and Terri moment I like is in "Jack Bares All, Part 2" when Jack apologizes to Terri. That was really sweet! Another one I really like, is in "Cupid Works Overtime". I know, I know, everyone here hates that episode, but I only like the part when Janet tells Jack that she's moving out to live with future loser husband, Phillip-what a quack! John and Joyce were very genuine in that part of the episode, even though i wish those two could have ended up together. That was so funny when Jack stared crying and he was trying to hold it back!! I know a lot of people might hate me for liking that episode and I'm sorry.
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? : I would keep this theme song.
For the Janet/Jack lovers-which song best describes them? : Oh gosh, I dunno. Hey, maybe 'True' from Ryan Cabrera.
Which of Janet's style do you like best? : I like the first and second season looks, I kinda like the first season haircut.
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer? : I'm totally in loooooove with the first two season looks!! I love the long hair, it makes me want to run my fingers through it!! I also like his style in clothes better too.And I fall even more head over heels when he wears tight polo shirts like in season 5! I'm in love!!!!! :D
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? : Well, again, the first two seasons. Those two seasons are my favorites, so I'm sorry that I keep answering that!!
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer? : I like her style in her first season. But PB looks great through out all of her seasons!
What would you say is the most touching TC moment? : All of the episode I answered in question 3 and the last two when they all said good-bye. I havent seen every episode yet, ive only seen a about 70% out of 100%, so the ones I said are the ones I know for now. But I'll just go on everyone's word that their answers are great moments!
List each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them:
Jack: Where do I begin?!? Any episode where he uses his physical comedy, or like retrogirl said, when Jack gets drunk!! And when he is very loving to the girls.
Janet: I like how Janet was very calm, but also crazy when the time came around. She was a lovely character and I thought Joyce did an excellent job!! I thought Janet was really funny in "The Case Of The Missing Blonde", "Up In The Air", and "A Night Not To Remember"
Chrissy: Any of her dumb-blonde jokes I thought were great!! They should have said something about Chrissy leaving instead of just pretending she was never there. I know it was hard for John and Joyce, but it would have made more sense because Chrissy was everyone's favorite.
Terri: I love everything about Terri and PB!! PB was GREAT playing Terri and she really picked up the show in front of the camera and behind.
Ropers: Wow, there's a lot. I like how Helen was always asking for one fun night in bed with Stanley. I LOVED the episode "Strange Bedfellows"!!! The Ropers were sooo funny in that one!!
RF: I could go on and on and on with Mr. Furley!!! Every episode he was in, he made it funny!!! And I would fall on the floor laughing from him!!
Larry: Larry was hilarious in the episode where he sings at Jack's Bistro!!! I forgot what the episode was called, but that one is one of my most favorites!!
Detail how you would've liked the ending to go! : Oh boy. Well I think Jack and Janet would have gotten married and stayed in the apartment. Terri would have found a hot, young guy and they would move into an apartment right next to Jack and Janet. As for Larry.....I have no clue, you never know when it comes to Larry!! Jack and Janet would have three kids; two boys and a girl ( I dont know what they would name them). I'm not sure about the landlords, someone else can come up with them.)
Last and definitely least, Phillip and Icky would get together and buy a trailer next to the city dump with 14 cats and nothing but beanie-weenies and brown chuncky water. Then while taking a drive they run off a cliff and crash and burn and we never have to see their faces again!! :D That was for all the Phillip and Icky haters who are reading this!!
That was fun!! Thanks Kristel, sorry if there were any that I couldnt answer
Janet McFarland 02-10-2005, 11:41 PM I'll fill this out tomorrow :)
Terri Cardellini 02-10-2005, 11:46 PM Aww, I agree with you about Mr. Furley and the cat- that was so sad!! Don't you just wanna HUG him? LOL.
Great answers :) I'll have to watch "Itching for Trouble" again and look out for Terri's hair :)
ya i love watching the part about the cat :( and yes you have to re-watch that episode, her hair is just everywhere
[B]Terri- I like it when Jack says "Blondes do have more fun" and she says "then why do I get stuck with you?"
o ya how can i forget that quote, it's in my signature
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 11:50 PM Ok cool!! :)
I'll fill this out tomorrow :)
Number 9 Dream 02-10-2005, 11:52 PM Haahaha I love your ending, Kristen!! LOL, about Phillip and Vicky-- I agree!!
And mmm, I love John's longer hair   :eyes:

I Love John Ritter 02-11-2005, 01:19 AM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL)
Definitly the Chrissy era. I LOVED all the episodes in season four, IMO, those are the best.
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?)
Why would I EVER want to cut a season out of the show!? It's awesome the way it is!
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other?
The scene at the end of "Some Of That Jazz" was so sweet. Jack was such a sweetheart to the girls. Also, the end of "Star Struck" when Jack is being so sweet to Terri. The scene in "Chrissy's Hospitality" where Janet is really worried and crying and she goes and talks to Jack and he tells her that everything is going to be okay. Then he puts his head against hers. I thought that was really sweet. And who could forget the scene on the couch with Jack and Janet in "Cupid Works Overtime". Awwww!
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose?
I'd never replace the theme song! I love it the way it is!!!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing)
I'm not into the whole J+J thing. Everyone thinks they should of ended up together, but I definitely don't. I liked seeing them as just really good friends.
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best?
I loved her hair in season 4. She looked really pretty. And I like her clothes the best in that season too.
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to )
I love them all!! LOL! He ALWAYS LOOKED AWESOME!!!! But if I had to pick a favorite, I would have to go with season 4. I really loved his longer hair :loveya: , WOW!! There are no words to describe, LOL!. And his clothes from that season were awesome too. He looked so nice in all of them.
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer?
I loved her ponytails! All her hair styles made me laugh. I liked all her outfits from season 4 too.
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer?
I liked how she had her hair in season 6 when she first joined the cast.
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill)
I thought the show was always great besides the last three episodes.
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course)
All the ones that I mentioned on the question about displaying the best friendship.
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper- I thought she was really funny in the end of "The Older Woman" when she says "You're just not buried, Stanley!"
Mr. Roper- I liked his camera mug. I also really liked in "Days Of Beer And Weeds" when Mrs. Roper says "Did you forget to put in the eye of neut and tongue of bat?" and Mr. Roper says "Can you spare them?" LOL! I thought that was hilarious.
Jack- #1 is definitley his dance scene in "Up In The Air". That was the best. Then second is of course, his drunk scene in "A Night Not To Remember". There are so many!!! Him handcuffed to Chrissy, barking at Furley, in jail, in bed with Roper, and there are so many more that I can't remember.
Janet- I thought it was soooo hilarious in the episode "The Kleptomaniac" where Janet grabs Mrs. Roper's shawl from Chrissy and says that she wants to to try it on. Then Chrissy tells her that the mirror is in the bathroom and she says "Yeah, well, you see Chrissy, I want to look at myself in the pots and pans!" LOL!!
Chrissy- I loved when she told her pointless stories with no meaning! Or when she told her confusing reasonings! I have a whole bunch of her quotes memorized! She's awesome!
Terri- I thought she was really funny along with the rest of the cast in "The Charming Stranger".
Mr. Furley- When he was "exercising" in "Janet Shapes Up". And I thought it was extremely funny in the episode "Macho Man" when Furley runs into the apartment screaming "HURRY UP!!!! HURRY UP!!!" OMG!! I still can't believe how HARD I laughed at that one!!
Larry- When he sings in "The Impossible Dream".
[B]Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas![B]
I don't know....I didn't like the actual ending of the show, and I wouldn't want Jack and Janet to get married, or Jack and anyone of the roomates to get married for that matter.
I Love John Ritter 02-11-2005, 01:21 AM Does anyone else notice that the character of Jack got kinda cranky when he first got it?
I didn't think so. He was just frustrated because he wanted everything to go right in is opening night.
Chain Gang Member 02-11-2005, 11:46 AM I ADDED TWO MORE QUESTIONS!! Right before the last one!)
You guys seemed to like my previous survey, so I decided to make up more in depth questions for you to fill out.....Have fun!!
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?) Hmm, normally I'd say the last season because of the ending, but who wants to get rid of Jack's Tattoo or any of the other gems that season brought? No one :D
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? Definately "Some of that Jazz". It nearly made me cry when he asked her to dance!
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? I think it's called "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor(although it's rather slow, I love the lyrics) Maybe they could've added some fast 70's style beats to it or something
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to  ) I love love loooove him in the first few seasons when he wore his hair slightly shaggier and his bellbottoms were bigger...LOL. I thought he looked particularly handsome in "And Mother Makes Four" and "Alone Together"(in the flannel shirt and dark blue jeans). *growls*
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? I didn't really like her hair or makeup in the later seasons(she looked like a clown!) but I LOVE the outfits she wore(short shorts and knee high socks). However, her curly hair and natural makeup(as in "Alone Together") was beautiful. It made her look really soft and feminine
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer Anything but the short perm look, I suppose. Terri, to me, was always pretty and her outfits were cute. I thought she looked really pretty in "Charming Stranger" with that pastel purple shirt on and her hair in a ponytail.
(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything!)
You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper- I loved whenever she laughed- ex- The Love Diary when Stanley tells her Chrissy is in love with him....LOL, or whenever she got excited when she thought Stan was gonna "give in" to her.
Mr. Roper- I thought he was HYSTERICAL in the Love Diary when he was winking, smiling, and brushing against Chrissy....hahaaha, or whenever he did his Tinkerbell thing. Another moment I can recall(I forgot which episode) is this: (I'm paraphrasing here)
Mrs. R: " Stanley, wouldn't you like me coming to bed in this?" *points to lingerie*
Mr. R: "A golf cart?" LMAO!!!! Whenever he says that, I am on the floor.
Jack- God, there are sooo many Jack moments. I'd have to say anything where he's drunk. And, of course, the Up in The Air sequence(I especially love when he grabs Janet and the old lady and starts strutting away with the old lady.....hahahaahaha).
Janet- Not a moment per se, but I always loved it when she said, :You know", referring to sex....I think it was when she and Chrissy were celebrating her party in "Roper's Niece"...her face looked so cute!
Chrissy- Chrissy was sooo funny in "Coffee, Tea, or Jack"....it was the first time I've ever seen her play up her sexiness(in a goofy way)...I loved her "hi" whisper and her wink...LMAO.
Terri- The one moment that sticks out in my mind is when she grabbed the check and ran out, saying, "Got it!" in "Out on a Limb"....I like when she's silly :)
Mr. Furley- Haahaaha, when he was "exercising" in "Janet Shapes Up"
Larry- definately his whole stripping schtick in "Eleanor Returns"...."Girnonimo!!" LMAO
1.Terri
2.All seasons were great(exept the final episodes)
3.Janet Shapes Up.Jack went through all the torture Janet's boss put him through just so Janet could keep her job. Also when Terri said that she would throw herself at Jack just so Tina would leave him alone(eventhough it wasn't necessary)
4.The original is perfect for the show
5.I Think I'm In Love With You-Jessica Simpson
6.Season 4
7.I think I'll skip it :D
8.Season 3
9.Season 6
10.Totally.If my character(I think you know who he is) was in it,not only would he give Terri a better ending by confessing his love to her,but he would save the show and with him in it,probably have another season of it.
11.Jack-Janet,I didn't come here to say all those things
Janet-You didn't?
Jack-No.All I wanted to say was (plays music) may I have this dance?
12.Jack-Up In The Air (dance) and A Camping We Will Go(Hammock)
Janet-In "The Fast"
Chrissy-In "The Kleptomatic"
Larry-In "Ralph's Rival"
Cindy-In "And Baby Makes Four"
Terri-In "Out On A Limb"
RF-In "Chrissy' Hospitality"
Ropers-In "The Catered Affair"
13.Jack & Janet fall in love and Terri falls in love (with my character)
Janet McFarland 02-11-2005, 05:39 PM What TC era do you prefer (the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) Even though my favorite blonde was Chrissy, I love the Cindy and Terri years the best. We saw more of Larry and we have some priceless JJ episodes! :D
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?) The second season. Too much Jack/Chrissy :o
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? "Star Struck" for Terri and Jack and "Some of that Jazz" for JJ. Both episodes were really cute :D
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? I wouldn't change the theme song at all. I liked it the way it was.
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them? "Amazed" by Lonestar. Um.. "You Found Me" by Kelly Clarkson. "Let's Give Them Something To Talk About" by.. ugh I forgot.
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best? I liked Janet's hair in the 7th and 8th seasons. Same goes for clothes.
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer? I love any style of Jack  Um but I loved his styles from the 4th to 8th seasons. That's when I think his character kind of grew.
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? I liked her styles in the second and third seasons. In seasons after that she looked.. well weird  But I love any of her clothes or hairstyles in the 2nd and 3rd seasons.
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer? I loved Terri's styles the best! Her hair and clothes always looked nice, except for that 8th season perm. Yuck.
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill) Um probably around the 7th season when Jack got his bistro. I just hated that storyline. But hey that's just me :p I liked the 8th season but I just hated the last 3 episodes :(
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course) Hm.. I think "Some of that Jazz". I just love it so much! That's where JJ really started taking off. She wasn't just Jack's "brunette roommate". That's when both their characters started coming alive.
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like.
Mrs. Roper- I loved whenever she made fun of her husband really. I can't think if an exact moment.
Mr. Roper- When he "slept" with Jack. Haha that was the best. Any moment of his was the best.
Jack- "Up in the Air", "A Night Not to Remember", "Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", and probably so many other episodes that I'm forgetting!
Janet- Her and Jack in "Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Priceless. Oh yeah and she was great in "Larry Loves Janet".
Chrissy- Haha she had the best quotes. EVER. I really loved her in "Secret Admirer", "Chrissy's Hospitality", and "Handcuffed". She was great :D
Terri- She had some pretty good quotes but she was great in "Out on a Limb". I GOT IT!
Mr. Furley- Oh gosh Mr. Furley  So many quotes, so little time.
Larry- Him trying to seduce Martha in "The Older Woman" I can never stop laughing.
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
Yay I love this question. Have Jack and Janet realize they love each other, while Jack is still with Vicky (I'm excluding Phillip in my ending) So Janet FINALLY admits she loves Jack, which leaves Jack confused. Jack picks Janet, dumps Vicky, and they live happily ever after in Apartment 201 with Terri until they get married, with Chrissy, Cindy, Lana, the Ropers, EVERYBODY at their wedding in May (my birthday month) I'd have RF have a steady girlfriend and have Terri and Larry start to go out. The end. :D
Fleet 02-12-2005, 03:13 AM [b]Larry- Him trying to seduce Martha in "The Older Woman" I can never stop laughing.
That was great!
Janet McFarland 02-12-2005, 03:10 PM That was great!
I know
Number 9 Dream 10-17-2005, 11:14 PM BUMP! for all the newbies :D I may even edit mine ;)
Number 9 Dream 10-17-2005, 11:49 PM I edited my old answers :D Amazing how much has changed since I first posted this ;)
jackslovelady 10-18-2005, 01:00 AM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?)
I personally like the Terri seasons.... Her character seemed to have a really great chemistry with John And Joyce and her character flowed really well with everything in the show.
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?)
Nope... none!!! All of them were great!!
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other?
When Jack gives Janet back her grandma's necklace charm back from the pawn shop in "Roper's Niece".... and she looks at him all sweetly...*tear*. And of course the dance scene in "Some Of That Jazz"
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? None!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing)
I would choose "Kiss Me" by Six Pence None The Richer
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best? I LOVED her in the first season with her shorter, poofier hair, knee socks, and bellbottoms. I have kinda modeled that hairstyle only more "today-ish".
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to)
I love his shggier looks like in"A Camping We Will Go"... he looks soooo hot with only those buhes around him!! I also love this one episode where he wore a tight black shirt, khaki pants, and a bronze tan... and he just made me melt!!! MERCY!!
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer?
She looked best in Seasons 1 and 2-- so natural and feminine
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer? I always thought she looked great... I don't like her with curls though...
(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything! I thought she looked pretty all the time, actually!)
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill)
I really noticed it going downhill during season 8... it got to the point were it was like they were running out of plot ideas...
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course) I really loved the scene in "Roper's Niece" when Jak gives janet her charm from the pawn shop. That really made me sad for some reason. Another, of course, is the dance at the end of "Some of That Jazz". Another one was from when Terri moves in and Jack says "i'll keep you"... soooo cute!!
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper- I loved whenever she laughed...LOL, or whenever she got excited when she thought Stanley was gonna "give in" to her.
Mr. Roper- I love the whole "tinkerbell" thing!! HYSTERICAL!!
Jack- My favorite Jack moments were when he would try and "have his way" with the girls.... those are sooo funy and cute... especially between him and Janet!!! JJ FOREVER!!!
Janet- I love how nervousy and a little jumpy she always was!!! SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!
Chrissy- I loved her snort... and when her eyes wold bug out!!
Terri- When she was being sarcastic with any of them!!
Mr. Furley- When he and jack were stuck in the freezer in "Baby it's cold inside"...
Larry- Definately the "Bengay" moment in the "Older Woman"....Larry rocks!
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
I would have jack and Janet not get married right away... but eventually. First the are set up with each other on a blind date by Larry (who is married to Terri) Then Jack proposes to her, she says yes (duh) and they have there wedding. I am Janets maid Of honor!!! It is a beautiful cerimony, really lavish, flowers everywhere, a huge cake, candles... just brilliant and gorgeous!! They say "i do" and Jack scoops Janet up into his arms and kisses her full on the lips. They have Three children and live a wondeful life together forever!!
Moonlight Lady 10-18-2005, 10:21 AM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?)The Terri years: especially seasons 6 & 7
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series: No, probably not.
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? Definately "Some of that Jazz".
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? None!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing): Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) 1st, 2nd and 3rd season
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer? I'm going with the 1st season for clothes those funky 70's clothes. For hair, the 6th season, his hair looked great in Boy Meets Dummy.
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? Anything before the 4th season
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer. All of her styles, especially anything pink that she wore, it's really a pretty color on her.
Cindy: Her hair when it was wavy, when she first arrived at the apartment and in
Jack Bares All 1 & 2.
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"? When Phillip and Vicki appeared on the show.
What would you say is the most touching TC moment: Jack apologizing to Terri when he ruins her dress at Cindy's going away party, Jack asking Janet to Dance in Some of That Jazz, Jack consoling Janet when they come home from bringing Chrissy to the hospital.
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mr. Roper- When he'd mug for the camera or did his tinkerbell thing
Jack -- His dance scene in Up In The Air, The scene in the hospital where he's doped up before getting his tattoo removed, doing the cooking show, when he was reading the card stuck to Janet's butt. :rotflmao: that always gets me, In Larry's Bride where he's drunk, trying to explain to Larry what happened with Gloria.
Janet -- In Larry Loves Janet when she was trying to act all sexy.
Terri -- Imitating Jack, fighting with Janet in Dates of Wrath
Mr. Furley -- Fighting with Felipe in the Sunday brunch episode.
Larry: His streaking scene in Eleanor Returns, his singing in The Impossible Dream
his drunk scene in Paradise Lost, His scene with the little girl who lost her kitten.
he's babysitting her and he says "So what you wanna talk about?" and she says
"Where babies come from" and he spits out his milk.
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
I'll go with creative:
Phillip and Vicki -- would never exist: Jack gets Janet, Terri gets Larry
Mr. Roper does something stupid, gets them kicked out of Cheviot Hills by Jeffrey Brooks. The Ropers become tenants in their old building, Mrs. Roper falls in love with Mr. Furley, divorces Stanley, marries Furley. Chrissy comes back and shares an apartment with Cindy, Mr. Roper moves in with them to avoid living out on the street.
Terri Cardellini 10-18-2005, 03:12 PM I forgot about this survey lol All my answers stayed the same actually
Heart Shaped Box 10-18-2005, 08:30 PM What TC era do you prefer(the Chrissy years, the Cindy years, or the Terri years?) This doesn't HAVE to reflect which blonde you liked most, but rather, the episodes in that era(unless, of course, you want it to LOL) Oh boy..I definitely can't pick, but I love the Chrissy and Terri years for all different reasons. The Chrissy years were pretty much innocent and we all know that Chrissy's dumbness was just hysterical. But the Terri years, like what everyone else pretty much said, were more sophisticated because Terri was very bright but it was still hilarious.
Is there a season you'd like cut out from the series(or would you leave it the way it is, despite flaws?) None of the seasons! Even though Season 5is my least favourite, it's still good!
Which moments do you think displayed the best TC friendships/love for each other? Of course at the end of "Some Of That Jazz" with the infamous dancing scene. I love that one! Also in "Roper's Neice" when Jack buys a cameo for Janet's necklace. Soo sweet!
If you could replace the theme song with any other song, which would you choose? None. I love it just the way it is!
For the Janet/Jack lovers- which song best describes them?(you can leave this out if you don't fancy the whole J+J thing) Ooh, lovely question! I'd have to say "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon. Just look at the lyrics. :D
Which of Janet's (clothing, hair) styles do you like best? I loved her clothing and hair in Season 1. I didn't really fancy her poofy, short hair in Season 3. Her short hair in Season 4 and stuff was ok, but I ADORE her hair in the later seasons when her hair is longer. That's my favourite!
Which of Jack's styles do you prefer?(guys, you can leave this out if you want to) DUHH, all of them! :p Ok, ok, I loved his hair the entire season, but I was absolutely drooling when he wore those bellbottoms in Season 1, and I love his outfits in the later seasons, with like the little vests and tight shirts. YUMMY!
Which of Chrissy's styles did you prefer? I didn't really like her hair or makeup in the later seasons(she looked like a clown!) Hm..her hair in Season 1 was ok, but I loved her hair in like Season 2 and 3 when she would let her hair down a little wavy.
Which of Terri's styles did you prefer? I loved all her styles! Ok..actually I just don't like her short poofy hair in like Season 8 like Kristel said. Haha we always think alike!
(I left Cindy out because I can't recall her looking different...you can add her if you remember anything! I thought she looked pretty all the time, actually!)
In your opinion, when did TC "jump the shark"?(or in what moment did the show go downhill) Well, it kind of jumped the shark when Chrissy left. I mean, you can't replace one of the great characters on the show. It just doesn't feel right at all. But I still like some of the Cindy episodes. But it jumped the shark sooo bad when Phillip and Vicky came along, and I think everyone else pretty much agrees, haha.
What would you say is the most touching TC moment(besides the obvious ending, of course) Wow..um, I can't really think of any off the top of my head, but pretty much any moment where Jack is always sweet to the girls or someone does something really sweet to someone. Pretty much the Jack and Janet moments I listed above.
Ok, list each MAIN character from TC and tell me your favorite, most FUNNY moments from each of them. You can leave your least fav. character out if you'd like
Mrs. Roper- Hmm..again I'm not thinking right now haha. Gotta pull out the DVD's! Anyway, some episodes I can remember where she was hysterical is in "The Love Diary", "Days Of Beer And Weeds", and uhh can't think of anymore.
Mr. Roper- I love him in "Strange Bedfellows", waking up next to Jack. Aha!
Mr. R - "Helen I just had a horrible nightmare!"
Also in "Days of Beer and Weeds". That part at the end where Helen hits him is hilarious! Also like Kristel said, "The Love Diary". HAHA!
Jack- Wow, there's so much and I can't name them all haha. Well I definitely crack up so hard when he's always drunk, especially in "Up in the Air" and "A Night Not to Remember". I pretty much love every scene he's in, hehe. Oh and I forgot about "A Camping We Will Go"!
Janet- Again, there's so many moments I love with Janet I can't name them all. I love it in "Bird Song" where she's all like making Jack and Chrissy do all this stuff for her, haha. Also in "Larry Loves Janet"!
Chrissy- I loved Chrissy in "Chrissy's Hospitality", "The Love Diary", "Chrissy and the Guru", and "Chrissy's Night Out".
Terri- Oh boy, this is gonna be hard. Well since I don't have the later seasons on DVD's, I can't remember the episodes too well and anything funny Terri did that sticks out in my mind. Ahh, sorry!
Mr. Furley- I love it when he always acts all "macho", which is pretty much in every episode he's in, haha. I also love it when he'd back away from Jack and stuff, afraid Jack would put a move on him, just like Mr. Roper did. Ooh wait, I got an episode now! "Paradise Lost", that was so great with his drunk scene with Larry!
Larry- Of course you have to mention "Larry Loves Janet"! I was laughing so hard in that episode. And I also love "Eleanor's Return", "Jack Goes the Distance", "A Camping we will Go", and a lot more!
Ok, last question- detail how you would've liked the ending to go! Be creative, be honest...whatever! No one will slam you for your ideas!
Oh my gosh, finally! This survery sucks ass! Nah I'm kidding.. :p But anyway, here's how I would do it. As horrible as it is, there's still Phillip and Vicky. Before Phillip came along, Jack and Janet have been getting closer than ever in the last few episodes. They couldn't tell each other their feelings because they both didn't know if the other liked each other. Anyway, they don't have the courage to tell each other, having little gestures and flirts that makes the audience think they're going to hook up. Ok the audience is like practically at the edge of their seats, because in the episodes it seems like they will, but then sometimes it seems like they don't. But, when Phillip comes along, Janet decides to go after Phillip since she thinks that Jack won't ever go for her. So once Jack finds out that Janet has got Phillip, in comes Vicky, and he goes after her since he knows he can't have Janet.
So, it's Janet's wedding day. She's both happy and sad. She likes Phillip a lot, but knows that Jack is the one she loves. As the ceremony begins, and the reverend asks if there's any objections, here comes Jack, finally able to spill his guts and feelings to Janet. Of course, Janet tells him she has feelings for him too and both Phillip and Vicky are gone, yay! Then Jack and Janet marry and well, you know the rest. Pretty much the same spinoff like "Three's A Crowd".
Ok, so Terri doesn't go to Hawaii, yay! She stays in Santa Monica and falls in love other than..dun dun dun, Larry! Anyway, Larry moves into Terri's apartment (she didn't move out or anything) and stay there until they finally get married and move out into a new house close by Jack and Janet!
Bart Furley has to move to the eastern side of the states with his family for a new job, so he lets Mr. Furley actually own the building! Well..I can't think of anything else except maybe he could actually find a steady girlfriend!
Cindy graduates from college at UCA, finally getting a job as a vet! And where do you think she lives? She moves back into the old apartment with two of her college friends. :D
Chrissy..well I don't know about Chrissy. Her mother gets better so she doesn't have to stay there, but decides to stay there and just live life there.
The Roper's are still in their apartment, hehe. I can't really think of anything else except..well let's just say Stanley is more romantic than usual now. :D
And that's my way of ending it. Haha pretty long.
