Well it's official, Trek fans.
UPN lowered the boom on the cast and crew of Enterprise yesterday; when the 4th season ends in May, it's the end of the line for the latest Star Trek series.
I can't say I'm surprised the show got cancelled (it's been on the verge of cancellation for two seasons now) but I am saddened by the news.
For the first time in 18 years there will be no Star Trek series on TV in the fall.
Not to mention that this is the first time a Star Trek Series has been cancelled since the original series was canned. Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager all completed seven season runs.
It's a shame Enterprise had to break the streak, but IMO, she show never really had the same spark as the other series. Granted, there were some outstanding episodes, but the show never really clicked for me.
Ah well, maybe in a few years they'll try again with another series.
