My sister sent me some of the pictures she took this past Christmas down here with all the snow. I still can't believe we had 5 inches in the back yard. So here are the pics.

What do yah know? ;) Kazza 01-02-2005, 03:40 PM Yah, all that snow missed the part of TX I live in and went right to the south of the state. The ones like me that live closer to OK didn't got as much or any at all Kay Scarpetta 01-02-2005, 03:57 PM Do you guys even own warm clothes? Sara Micelli 01-02-2005, 04:04 PM Originally posted by Kay Scarpetta Do you guys even own warm clothes? Yes, in winter. Most people down here don't own any type of snow clothes. Some of us (those who have lived in snow) still had old coats and gloves. People were just layering on clothes to try to stay dry. When one set got soaked they went to the next set of clothes. They had been predicting snow for a week but nobody believed it. I mean it hasn't snowed on Christmas day in over 100 years down here. I should have some more pics on Tuesday (if I remember to pick them up) and I'll probably have them on here Wednesday or so. D Hollow 01-02-2005, 05:47 PM the stereotypes of the south sure do mislead some people. Kazza 01-02-2005, 06:20 PM Originally posted by Kay Scarpetta Do you guys even own warm clothes? I may live in TX but I ain't no fool. Always have my warm gear handy for when the weather decides to change. Can you believe that this past two days it's been unseasonably warm so we are wearing short while last week we were freezing! Hollow 01-02-2005, 06:42 PM lol Ags2000 01-04-2005, 06:57 PM Here are some more pictures from Christmas Day here in South Texas. D Janice 01-05-2005, 12:26 PM Great pics D! I wish I had pictures of cars completely buried by snow, lol. New England gets hammered. I'm glad you're enjoying it. :) *MIBabe03* 01-05-2005, 02:30 PM I live in Texas and I still don't consider it a big deal. Get back to me if we ever see 6 ft of snow or something. I've seen that before, now that's snow! Warm & Fuzzy 01-05-2005, 06:13 PM I did that one just for you Jenny. I also have a pic of a deer. DBy golly, are you serious?? Awwwwww, I feel so loved! :bighug: Thanks for the horse, and why not share the deer too? LOL. David 01-05-2005, 07:24 PM Nice pics! I wish we got snow in FL :( Ags2000 01-06-2005, 02:44 PM I live in Texas and I still don't consider it a big deal. Get back to me if we ever see 6 ft of snow or something. I've seen that before, now that's snow! I've seen VERY deep snow before as well...I mean I lived in Japan for 4 years. I don't know what part of Texas you are living in, but down here it is a VERY big deal. Up in North Texas it does snow alot..but it has been about 20-30 years since it snowed here and over 100 years since it snowed on Christmas. That's why it's such a big deal. Most people who are living down here have NEVER seen snow in their life. For all of those people it is a once in a lifetime oppertunity. As for Jenny......here is the deer and a few more pictures. D I live around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. It "snowed" here too but not on Christmas day. Also we rarely get any snow. If we get anything it's freezing rain. Anyway I was born in Michigan and I was 9 when we moved down here, so I too have seen a lot of snow.
