I'll say The Waltons. I'd say Head of the Class, except I never watched it that much--although it did star Howard Hesseman aka Dr. Johnny Fever. :D

I thought ALF's theme song was pretty nice.

You can't forget I Love Lucy's theme song. That's a TV classic! Another very good instrumental theme song is The Dick Van Dyke Show's.

IMO Wings had the prettiest instrumental theme in the early seasons :)
