What's the cause of all the fighting and problems lately? Can we clear the air? Are people just extra sensitive because of the holidays?

Do I need to make some serious changes to the boards and just start cleaning house and banning/suspending the troublemakers?

The 'stalking' of members - following them around and posting in threads and on other boards - has become a major problem I think. That's just looking for trouble.

I don't want to have to close Chit Chat, but it seems a few people are trying to get that accomplished. If that's your goal, you are close to succeeding.

what do you think about the 5th anniversary idea?

Without mentioning any names, there are two members who have formed a nasty sarcastic tag team. They break into threads with nothing but trouble on their minds. They harass and make fun of members and their posts.

They laugh like fools at each other's jokes and insults. A third member is involved to a lesser degree. This person just acts as the official backup and kissass....quotes the tag team and agrees with their sarcasm and insults.

It's the most immature and cruelest thing I've witnessed on this site since the gangup on me last year, which of course, involved the sarcastic tag team.

Everyone is talking about this behind the scenes, but nothing is being done about it.

That team, and another member who constantly breaks rules, political and otherwise, are the main problem on the boards these days.

That would be Lacey and Brad - the sarcastic tag team. I'm sick of it and I know I'm not the only one. Yes I went in and said something to Lacey about shoving her attitude up her ass and I'm not sorry one bit right now. Her and Brad know exactly what they're doing and now they're mocking me and jpnoyes, not to mention Nighthawk. They've seen fit to go into our thread, they've seen fit to go into Allison's thread playing their game. Keeping it going and I'm sick of it.

Now we've got Dustin, MaryElizabeth and Kat playing the game. They've also sent out PMs to a few of my friends and I'm sick of it. They need to be knocked down from their holier than thou pedestal RIGHT.. NOW.

I've been staying on the sidelines. I refuse to get involved in such childish behavior. I know you and me aren't on much of a speaking term anymore and for that I apologize. I do, however, agree with you.

I wish none of this would be happening in my thread too. It's times like that when I just cannot believe GROWNUPS are carrying on. Sheesh! I'm sick of it, as well. I'm considering a temporary leave from the boards if this carries on further.

Let me try to clear the air, if I may. This all started in a Marilyn Monroe thread, which was closed 2 days ago. I felt Lacey was being rude to certain member, and I called her a sarcastic twit. If I offended anyone, I apologize now. It didn't stop there, Lacey and Kate were going back and forth, and Brad stepped in and pissed Kate off, which pissed me off. By the time I was gonna respond to him, the thread was closed, so I took it to pms. Everything was alright for a while, I mean we were still arguing in pms, but what ticked me off was Brad and his "sheep" mocking me and other SO members. I said stuff to him in pms and he brings it to one of the random threads. Then the sheep all jump in and have a good laugh, at my expense. I do not appreciate that but what's worse is they are mocking my friends, and that isn't cool.

It would be nice to see no fights here (not debates... fights).
This is probably the message board I like best (maybe even better than Cadillac message boards)!

As I've said before, I think the layout and general ease-of-use of SO is the best of those out there. Easy to read, easy to add things like avatars, good variety, etc.

So I sure hope everyone can get along! :)

I've been here for over a year and I rarely had a fight with anyone here until recently. I really like most of the people here. But recently the fights here have been getting to me. Its made me very unhappy because SO used to be a happy place.

In particularly I've been happy that in a lot of threads lately certain members have been criticizing other members and getting the thread off topic. Yesterday I used the * rolls eyes* signal at Lacey when she criticized yet another thread. It probably wouldn't have went any further but Brad came in as he usually does. I said a few words and left and I thought that was the end of it. Then this morning I found out they were mocking one of my friends my posting Sarcastic Twit in the their title and thats when I put it in my siggy. Later this afternoon Lacey who I have never talked in pm's pm'd me to look at her siggy. It was a replica of the one I had. The fight esculated after that. I am tired of all this fighting and I wish it would stop.

First of all, sarcasm? It isn't a new thing for me. It's always been part of my nature (it becomes a defense mechanism at an early age when you're the kid who gets picked on all the time). Look back at my old posts. Go back to the very first day I was here. What do you see? Sarcasm.

Now sarcasm isn't always rude. Yes, sarcasm can be rude, but as I've said ad nauseum the last few days, the two don't always go hand-in-hand. Sarcasm is merely a form of humor.

This goes back to a now-closed thread on the movies board. A post by Lacey was misundertood by Little Insomniac. Lacey made a sarcastic response, and was then told to shove her attitude up her ass. Come on, folks. What's more rude? "Speaking of not understanding..." or "Shove your attitude up your ass?"

The next day, Nighthawk tried to start another argument by giving Lacey the ":rolleyes:" smiley in a pointless three-year-old thread that had been bumped up earlier in the day. This was in response to a comment Lacey made regarding said thread's age.

I also want to add that Nighthawk added fuel to the fire later by changing his signature to "Member Of The TKM Which Leads The Fight Against All Sarcastic Twits On Sitcoms Online." It wasn't until then that a bunch of us changed our custom titles to "Sarcastic Twit No. _"

Little Insomniac, I'm not sure what you're alluding to when you say this has been going on for a long time. As far as I know, we haven't had any problems with each other until Thursday night. Same goes for JPNoyes and Nighthawk. If I'm wrong, please beg to differ.

I'm not sure if my rambling conveys a clear point. But please know that we're not going around the board looking to start fights.

The Full House thread created by one of the sarcastic tag team is the perfect example of an orchestrated gangup on a show's board. They had to chat about it first. Posted within minutes of each other. So obvious. So f'kn stupid.

I honestly would not care if TJ were to close down the boards right now. I know I would if I had to deal with this on a day to day basis. Think what you want, but I have many close friendships on this site. I counsel some of the young ones. I organize their Secret Santa. I assist with board issues. I have pages and pages of PMs and e:mails from members who like me. You have no idea how off base you are.

laceyinthesky, I have to speak up for Janice. She is a tremendous moderator. I wish I had more people like her to help with some of the other boards. She's extremely fair. She goes beyond the duty and volunteers a great amount of her time here to make this a fun place.

I'm sorry that a few people have issues with her over the Politics board which was closed many months ago. I wish people would stop carrying those grudges and move on already.

I'm sorry if the truth hurts to you and AKA. I really can't say that I know you, but Brad from when I've talked to him seems like a pretty decent guy.

I don't have any grudge about the politics board. Janice repeatedly attacked me in this thread, before I said anything about her. Excuse me for saying this, but I thought moderators were supposed to be unbiased.
