Same old Question from a UK famtie fan Where or how can I obtain video copys of family ties episodes.Unlike you lucky guys in the states the show is no longer aired in britain.I await any help,cheer's vikingjohn. hofverberg 12-14-2000, 07:01 AM Hi, First of all, the show has not been released on video in Europe, or anywhere in the world with PAL format for that matter (only in NTSC, for instance thru a video club in the U.S.). So if you canīt receive it on any TV station (perhaps you can access any foreign channels, which air the show), your only option would be to get someone to record it for you. I may be able to do it for you, that depends on how many episodes you want. Iīm quite busy so I really donīt have the time to record dozens of tapes, but if you just want a tape or two, thatīs no problem. I only use 240 minute tapes, so that obviously means 10 episodes per tape in SP mode. I have most (if not all) episodes of Family Ties. I live in Sweden, so my copies are with Swedish subtitles, which I know can be annoying (they still have the original sound though), but they are in PAL, so itīs no problem with the formats. I have recorded for several other people in the past, so itīs no problem, as long as it isnīt too much. Feel free to e-mail me, and we can continue discussing it more privately. I believe it was as rental video, according to a person that e-mailed me. But youīre right, Japan uses NTSC too, so it doesnīt help in this case.
