John Peel, the most infulential DJ on the BBC's Radio 1, died on October 25 at 65. He was famous for giving airplay to a lot of progressive and anti-mainstream rock bands that otherwise wouldn't have gotten on the radio. He will be missed. :(

Sorry to say that I have never heard of him .............. but RIP:(
