'92 Broadway revival all the way. Can't beat it.

Anyone know if G&D has closed for good? It obviously closed after the '92, but I'm wondering if it was closed permanently or not.

*sings* when you see a guy, reach the stars in the sky, chances are that he's doing it for some doll...

I have seen the beginning of that movie at least twenty times, but for some reason I never get to watch it all the way through. Something always comes up. Very irritating. I love Jean Simmons and Vivian Blaine. Oh humph. My sister has the DVD so I don't really have an excuse... well, someday. I know most of the songs. Adelaide's Lament is my personal fave :)

It's not in the movie? :( How strange is it that I've never seen the movie or show all the way through, but I do know that song. I really think I know the entire show without having ever seen it.

I have the movie "Guys & Dolls" with Frank Sinatra and Marlin Brando on VHS. I also have the record of the 1976 revival of "Guys & Dolls" with an all-black cast on Motown. it features Ernestine Jackson, Robert Guillaume, Norma Donaldson and others. At that point, Motown did two original broadway cast albums like "Pippin" and "Guys & Dolls" back in the 70's. Why did Motown put out a cast album like "Guys & Dolls"?
