Because no matter how many years ago it was, it's still the right thing to do.

He's probably a recovering addict in a 12 step program or something, and they said that he had to apologize to the people he had wronged or something like that.

Wow. That's a long time for someone to go before paying. But, it was good of him to do that. I'm glad the hotel donated it to charity. At least he was honest in skipping out on the bill and ended up paying it back. Still, it's funny that someone would wait that long before finally paying a bill. :lol:

I agree that he was probably making amends to those he had wronged because of a step program.

It's that or he's terminally ill and wants to improve his chances of entering the Pearly Gates.
