What are some of the outrageous and unexplainable fears you have? Now I dont mean water, bees, heights, etc.. Im talking about getting attacked by a lion, having the roof of your house cave in, or getting your toe stuck in the tub drain. Things that just dont happen everyday, but its still a weird fear you have.

For some reason, Ive always been afraid of my eyes falling out of my sockets. I think that if I rub my eyes too hard or am trying to get an eyelash out and the lid is open too much, that the eye is just gonna like.. pop out on the floor. Its weird but it freaks me out.

That my kitten will die. I mean, okay, so it's not outrageous, but she's only 5 months old and in ideal health. I guess I'm just a major pessimist.

that someone would come break in my house and burn it. I got over it though.

Trees falling down during storms onto my house. Thanks Gramma :) People, how about people? Everyone thinks it's a joke when I say I am...but I'm serious. I'm just so afraid of people.

I don't have this fear anymore, but I did for a while in 7th grade. I used to take this route to school where we had to drive on a gravel road...Um, yeah. There were no stop or yield signs or anything like that on the gravel road we took - we would go on a four-way intersection and then turn the corner. Every day when I went to school that fall, I was always scared every time we turned the corner. I also had a bad feeling every time...It stuck w/ me the entire fall and just right before winter started. Finally, that December, there was a fatal car accident on that corner where we drove on. Two cars were approaching the intersection, one southbound and another westbound. Neither slowed down when they got to the corner...One of the drivers was seriously injured and the other was killed on impact. After that happened, they put up two yield signs at the corner, and then I stopped being so scared.

Not always are they trying to shoot me but someone is threatening my life. They're breaking into my bedrooom window. I wake myself up struggling to shout at them or hit them but I can't get my body to cooperate with my emotions, because I'm dreaming. It's a horrible nightmare that I have lived through over and over in various ways for years now. Strange. I don't get it.

Oh God. Where to begin?

Let's see.

- If I'm in the bathroom, and the shower curtain is closed, I have to leave the room. I cannot have it closed. I can't even open it. I just leave.
- I'm ALWAYS afraid I'm going to get in trouble. ALWAYS. Even for just... walking. Seriously, I'll be in school, and I'll walk to the desk, and I'm afraid I'm gonna get in trouble.
- The whole bridge collapsing thing.
- That my house is going to catch on fire while I'm sleeping. That actually did happen once, but it was raining - praise the lord and pass the ammunition.
- I'm scared that someone is going to break into my room. Which is ... ugh, I guess I figure cos the second floor is harder to get into, they'll do it. Or something.

I don't even feel like going on anymore.

i have a lot of fears, so much it's partly why i hate living. i basically never feel safe.

my house burning down. i'm so scared of that happening i have a big bag of stuff i could never replace like my moms bible in my closet so i can grab it and throw it out my window in case it does.

standing on a bridge or balcony, i can't help but worry about it collapsing.

looking in the mirror and thinking i'm gonna see something that's not there. mirrors scare the hell out of me. this story on beyond belief that was true.. my eyes get all teary when i think about how scared i'd be.

there's a lot more.. but most of all i can't be in the dark by myself. it takes me EVERYTHING i have to go outside, just in my yard, for not even 30 seconds at night alone. when i go to the kitchen or something at night i keep turning on lights on my way there and turn them off if i go back. a lot of times when i'm in a room by myself, usually at night, i get a feeling something bad is gonna happen and i run out of the room. i'm probably most scared of the bathroom because there's no windows. seriously, whenever i accidently turn off the light i start breathing harder and frantically feel around for the light switch. oh god there's so much more. i don't even want a house to myself. for one thing i would seriously panic if the power went out at night.

When I used to live in an apartment with my mom I was afraid of being alone in the apartment with the door unlocked. I would lock the door when she would leave even if it just for a few minutes to take out the garbage or go to the car. It was almost like I was paranoid that someone would come and shoot me or something. :p

I also freak out when I see a maplebug. I know they're harmless creatures, but I freak out just the same.

Also, being stared at. Doesn't matter whether I'm stared at by strangers, family, friends, or just acquaintances. I know logically, I shouldn't be concerned because usually people don't know why they stare, they just do, but it still makes me uncomfortable. I automatically think something must be very wrong. I'm paranoid that way. :p

Being in a convenience store or bank and it getting robbed. If it weren't for Pay at the Pump and drive-ups, I'd be a basketcase. My dad makes fun of me for it.

Drive-by shootings.

I used to be hugely fearful of lighting matches. No biggie anymore.

Driving on bridges.

Teenagers.

AHH I forgot about the shower curtain! If its closed and I gotta go I always check. Even though I know no one is in there, I feel if I dont look someones gonna pop out. Crazy I know.

As for getting in trouble.. Im the same way. Im always afraid something will be found out about my past or something and Ill get in trouble. Not that I have a past, but I tend to get paranoid.

Ohh yah I wont light a match either. Once last year I had to light the pellet stove on the porch, and I was holding the match with tongs. It wouldnt work so finally I just held it. Well, I got so startled when I finally got it lit that I dropped it on the floor. It was already out by then though.

As for bridges and buildings.. if Im really high up I cant look directly down. And if theres no railing or its no that tall, I stay atleast 10 feet away. Im like that too on NYC subways. They have that line to stand so youre not too close to the edge. Even that is too close. I get all freaked out that if I stand anywhere near the edge, that some freak is just gonna come and push me in the ditch and then I cant get out. Ay papi.

windows at night. I always make it my top nighttime priority to close all the blinds downstairs because whenever I walk by the windows in the front of my house (dining room particularly) I'm always afraid someone might be looking in spying on me. Its weird:eek:

I'm also about sleeping without a comforter because if a burglar came I could hide easier with them.

Basically my whole fear is burglars and my second is fire.

I used to be really paranoid about drive bys. And I'm terrified of getting car jacked. I like stop breathing when I'm at a red light and someone is walking down the street.

And I'm like the exact opposite about heights. I can't look up at a really tall building.

I used to be REALLY freaked out over heights...But I've pretty much gotten over my fear of heights...LOL, when I was in England earlier this year, we stayed in a hotel that was on the 5th floor. That was their top floor...Anyway, the windows in our hotel room didn't have screens on them - so one night, when I was bored, I looked out the window...Saw that there was a ledge right below the window...So I opened it, crawled out a little and sat on the ledge to take pictures of London at night. The whole time, I wasn't afraid of falling, and I was 5 floors up. It was pretty cool. ;)

I have stupid illogical fears of being paranoid and annoying people, especially individual people I want to impress. For instance, someone offered kind friendship after I asked him out (I didn't know he is gay - My gaydar sucks!! :p). He was touched, and he offered friendship. We got to talk and kinda hang out at my job in the summer (he was taking two computer classes). Now, I realized I should've taken advantage of that because it was sooo nice!!! Now I don't get to see/hear from him often (he's a very busy person!!), and I kinda get obsessed (a few other times in my life other than this situation). I am just touched by people's kindness and generosity and kinda obsess over them trying not to lose their friendship. I am like a hermit crab who, once I pinch, it's hard for me to let go. :( ;)

Another illogical phobia I have:

-I am not a phone person, so I panic when I am put on the spot to answer phones. I feel like I am going to freeze or say something stupid or even say the wrong thing. My sister gets annoyed when I am home alone and she sees someone's call on the caller ID and asks me, "What did so-and-so say?" and I tell her I didn't answer. Then, she asks me why I didn't answer and teases me about it. I don't tell her the truth, so I find myself compulsively lying that I didn't hear it, I didn't get to it on time, I was busy, etc. It's already getting old! :(

More I thought of:

Being stared at by other motorists while I'm driving. You'd think I was the prettiest girl in the world the way some guys stare at me. Makes me very uncomfortable when anyone stares at me.

Being arrested and sent to jail. I've never done anything to illicit that, but it scares me to no end.

But now I don't like spiders, but I'm not afraid of them as much as I used to be.

I fear alot of stuff like
my house be broken into, even I live in small town.
dying in my sleep, that's I never go to sleep until past midnight.
spiders coming out in my room and biting me.
my house being destroyed by fire or a tornado.
doctors,my gosh I don't how many times I've tried to hit
my eye doctor during exams,I'm serious she has to hold on
to my right arm and warn me to not to fight with her everytime!
my cousin being hurt in a football game,I attend his
games and it's scares me when a player gets hurt.
heights,I hate heights and I always will.
cataracts,I have two right now and I fear going blind.
my parent's blood pressure, them getting sick and me,
or my sister having to call 911 or take them to the hospital.
Call me crazy, but these all of my fears,I'm my mid 20's now
but I sometimes feel like a local idiot!

 Hmmm my friend is what 12? and yours is what much older? Hmmm big difference, picking on someone who is younger makes a person nothing but a bully. Besides I thought your friend was capable of taking care of himself? If he's not 12 then he should be able too

So according to your logic, a 12 year old cannot defend himself. Interesting. So what you're doing is different because Rurry is 12 and Chris isn't. Way to scapegoat, bring in the age thing.

And if pointing out facts is picking on him, then I guess I am. Waaahhhh

And you better believe Chris can defend himself. You "mature" people just seem to like to keep at him, with lame retorts like calling him a broken record out of nowhere. No wonder this board has become a cesspool. Sorry if he hurt your feeling for stating his opinion, but that's life and all. Get used to it.
