We Wish You a Maddie Christmas


December 22nd 8.00PM
In Maddie's bathroom

Maddie's taking a shower and while the hot water runs down her body she looks down at her swolen belly.
Thinking: "Boy I have grown the last month! I can't believe it's only another two weeks!"
She is bending over to get the showergel and then she hears the showerdoor open en in comes David.

David: "Hey gorgeous, want me to do your back?"

Maddie:"David! You scared me! Yes but do it quickly and then I'm getting out of here, its too small in here for the both ...ehm I mean the three of us..." She looks at him and smiles.

David: " He, it's warm and cozy and we don't have to go anywhere so why not stay?"

Maddie: " Are you done? I want to go downstairs .... I feel like a whale and I don't like it when you look at me right now"

David:" What? Why do you say that? You look beautiful, you shine like a star!"

Maddie: "Yeah I shine allright, my hair is greasy! Yuck."

Maddie steps out of the shower and starts to dry her body, it's getting more difficult every day.
She never thought she would become so big. She really wishes that the baby comes sooner....
She's bitching at David all the time while he has been so sweet to her and she hates herself for it. But she just can't help these moodswings and as she looks at her weddingring (solid gold with one small diamond) she remembers their wedding in Hawaii with her parents ......
It was so beautiful, her belly wasn't very big yet so the dress fitted perfectly, this dress was made just for her and she looked like a princess from the Far East.
Everywhere they walked that day people stopped and watched her like she was some kind of miracle.
Cars stopped and caused traffic jams and everywhere you looked there were men almost drewling.
David was all she ever wanted him to be that day, beautiful tux and he had a smile on his face all day which made her melt.
It was all romance for 3 whole days and while they were walking barefooted on the beach at the last evening before they went home she said things to David she never said to any guy before.
"You know David, I have never met anyone who can make me feel like you do, you make me feel important, it's comfortable being with you, you make things so easy for me. Everytime when I see tigers and bears on the road ahead, you come and comfort me and put my mind at ease by showing me that they aren't there. I really love you with all my heart and I'm proud to have your baby...." Then she put her arms around his waist and kissed him passionately as the sun set and when they stopped and looked into eachothers eyes she could see the tears in David's eyes.
David was never this happy and he WOULD have cried if she didn't stop talking to kiss him.

Okay, here I go:

Maddie: Oooohh

Maddies daydream is interrupted by a pain in her belly.

David: Is everything okay???

Maddie looks at him with a huge smile on her face.

Maddie: David! The baby just kicked!

Maddie takes Davids hand in hers and places it on her belly. They waited. The baby kicked again.

David: Oh wow! This bambino is going to be a soccerplayer!

Maddie smiles: It could be a bambina.

David: I know.

David puts his arm around her waist and leads her to the mirror.

David: Do you have any idea how beautiful this baby is going to be? I mean, look at you...

Maddie: Look at US.

David: Yeah...us. It's probably going to have your nose.

He touches her nose while saying that.

Maddie: Your eyes.

She turns around and smiles at David.

David: Your smile.

Maddie: Your lips...

She looks him in the eyes and then they share a short but sweet kiss.

Maddie: MY hair!

Maddie sticks out her tongue to David and smiles again.

David: Hey blondy, there is nothing wrong with my hair! He throws a wet sponge her way.

Maddie: HEY!

She throws it back at him. And the sponge fight begins.

I'm getting thrown off a little because Scout and Tallulah look so much like Bruce -- and Clem looks so much like Cybill.

Her eyes, her lips, his smile (he's got a great bottom lip though) -- this is hard!

Great job on the fanfic -- keep it coming -- I can't wait to see what is going to happen.

After the spongefight Maddie's really tired and crawls into bed.
David is brushing his teeth and walks over to the bed.
Maddie's eyes are closed and she's drifting away already while David looks at her with a dreamy look.
David thinking:* God why did she choose me? Do I really deserve such a great and beautiful woman? Please God don't let anything happen to her and let the baby be born safely...*

Maddie opens her eyes: "David are you allright?"

David: "huh? Oh sure I was just thinking"

Maddie: " 'bout what?"

David: "YOU"

Maddie: "What were you thinking?"

David: "Oh stuff"

Maddie: "David! What stuff?"

David: "That's private, my thoughts are private.... at least I hope so, one never knows with your magic brainreading sessions!"

Maddie:" Oh ok, so you're not telling me?"

David:" Nope"

Maddie: "Ok fine"

David: "Ok fine"

Maddie:" Good"

David: "Good"

Maddie: "Goodnight"

David: "G'niiiiight"

David moves over to Maddie's side of the bed and curls up against her with his arm around her belly.
He's gently rubbing her belly and whispers: "Goodnight bambino or bambina"

Maddie smiles and pushes her body against his and they fall asleep quickly.

December 23rd , 7.00 AM Alarm Clock
(playing Ooh baby baby by Smokey Robinson)

Maddie opens her eyes and watches David who is fully embrasing her.
She tries carefully to lift his arm up so she can sneak out of bed to make breakfast for the both of them.
David is running the agency with Viola while she is waiting at home all day for the baby to come.
So the least she can do is make breakfast.
She had a fight with David about the fact that she wants to go to the ofiice for paperwork but David doesn't want to hear it.
He says he doesn't want anymore risks to be taken with the baby.
He's still a little traumatised by losing the other baby and if she's honest .... so is she.

7.30 AM in Maddie's bedroom

Maddie kisses David on his lips to wake him up and David opens his eyes.
He starts to grin and sits up in the bed looking at Maddie.

David:"I can't believe you're doing this! Why make breakfast?
I should be pampering you!"

Maddie: "David, I don't wanna have this discussion anymore, you work all day so let me at least make you breakfast, I feel fine, really"

Maddie: "Like it? There's croissants, OJ, coffee, jam....."

David takes the tray of his lap and places it on the nighstand.
He moves over gently to the side of the bed where Maddie's sitting and puts his arms around her body and starts to hug her and nuzzle her neck.
Maddie's heartbeat is going faster now and she closes her eyes, he gently lays her on her side and kisses her on the lips gently, softly.
Maddie's temperature is rising and she kisses him back.
Then David stops and looks at her.
David: "Are you sure you still want to do this .... I mean with the baby and everything...."
Maddie: "David...... the baby is safe, don't worry, and I feel FINE"
Maddie pulls David towards her and they make love, softly, carefully but very intimate.

A LOT of lovin' going 'round! :D

A bit later we see Maddie walking down the stairs. David already left to the Blue Moon office and left her all by herself. She sighs and walks into the livingroom. We see a giant Christmas tree standing there. It's not completely decorated yet. She gets a box with old X-mas balls. Each one carrying there own memory.

Nat King Coles "The Christmas Song" starts to fill the room.

She gets one out of the box and looks at it. It's a beautiful light-blue ball. It shines like it's new. It was given as a present by her grandmother when she was still a little girl. Then she sees another ball in the box. It's not really a ball, it's more like a little snowman. She made it when she was little. She smiles about the thought that she gets her own little girl....or little boy (GOT YA) now.

Maddie hangs the balls in the tree and sits down on the ground with her hands on her belly and starts to talk to it.

Maddie: "Sweet little baby, I wonder if you can hear me. This is our first Christmas together and you can't even see it yet. It's my favorite holliday. Maybe we have that in common.....
I would love to see your face when you open your first present. Oh little baby, I can't wait to meet you, to look into your eyes, feel your little hands. You have a wonderful father. I am sure you are going to love him as much as I do. I love you."

The phone starts to ring and Maddie picks it up.

Maddie: Hello? Oh hi mom!

Virginia Hayes: Hi Maddie! How are you?

Maddie: I'm fine mom. How are you? How's dad?

Virginia Hayes: We are fine Maddie, we packed our bags and are leaving by plane tomorrow morning.

Maddie: Okay, I'll ask David to pick you up from the airport.

Virginia Hayes: Aren't you coming with him?

Maddie: I don't know. We'll see. Otherwise you will see me at home.

Virginia Hayes: Okay, let it be a surprise.

Maddie: Thanks mom.

Virginia Hayes: For what?

Maddie: For being my mother.

Virginia Hayes: Oh Maddie, you know I love you.

Maddie: I love you too mom.

Virginia Hayes: We will see you tomorrow.

Maddie: See you tomorrow.

Virginia Hayes: Bye sweety.

Maddie: Bye mom.

December 23rd 9.30 at Blue Moon

David sits in his chair with his feet up on his desk just staring into space and thinking about that morning.
He's got a sparkle in his eye and looks very happy with a little smirk on his face.

There's a knock on the door, it's Bert.

David:" Wazzup Bert?"

Bert:" Well Mr. Addison ..... sir..... I want to show you something.."

David:" Like what Bert?"

Bert:" I bought a Christmas present for Agnes but I'm not sure I bought the right thing."

David:" What did you buy Bert?"

Bert: "This"

Bert hands a small box to David who opens the box to look inside.

Bert:"Well sir, what do you think?"

David:" It's VERY nice Bert and you know what .. I wanna thank you for doing this..."
David jumps up and runs out of the office leaving Bert in his office with a surprised look.

The elevator doors open and David runs to the BMW (a new one btw).
He drives away with high speed thinking about how he almost forgot to buy a special present for Maddie, his wife, the mother of his child......... Damn! How could he forget?
There are a lot of presents under the tree at their house but there's got to be a special one that he wants to give to Maddie on Christmas Eve.


12.30 Maddie's house

Maddie is still busy decorating the house and cooking and baking in the kitchen.
She has become quite a cook even if she says so herself and
she's got a whole Christmas dinner written down and it looks like it's all gonna be very tasteful.
David will be very surprised when he tastes of her incredible dinner!
Then she hears the frontdoor open, it's David, in a hurry.
Maddie : "Hi Dav........smak!"
Before she can say his name David kisses her on the mouth and runs upstairs.

Maddie:" David what are you doing? Why are you in such a hurry? And what are you doing upstairs?"

David: "None of your beezwacks!"

Maddie:" What the....."

Maddie goes upstairs and walks into her bedroom where David is sitting on the floor on his hands and knees.
Now Maddie just can't help saying: "Well, well, well are you praying or did you finally come to your senses?"
She looks at him with one eyebrow raised.

David laughing:"Heeee, I heard that line before! Now could you please go away?"

Maddie: "No why?"

David stands up and walks over to Maddie, pulls her close and starts to nuzzle her neck and kiss her face and gently pushes her out of the room whispering:" Go on, get out of here and I will make it up to you later...."
Maddie smiles a sexy smile and looks at him: "Is that a promise?"
David nods.
Maddie: "Well ok then........"

David closes the door and grins saying:" Hehehehe, works every time!"

He looks around the room and tries to find a good spot to hide the present he bought for Maddie.
He's very proud of it, it's a beautiful gift.

A few minutes later we see David walking down the stairs again. Maddie walks out of the livingroom.

Maddie: David?

David: Yo Maddie!

Maddie: David, my mother called me a while ago.

David: Oh how is she? Are they ready to leave Chicago?

Maddie: She is fine and, yes, ready to leave Chicago. I told her you would pick them up from the airport tomorrow.

David: Are you coming with me then?

Maddie: Depends on my mood. Maybe I'll stay home to make some hot chocolat for everyone.

David: Okay, you make hot chocolat and light the fire in the fireplace so everything is nice and warm when we get back out of the cold.

Maddie: Yes, okay, that's what I'm going to do...

David: So...wanna have some lunch?

Maddie: Oh yeah! I'm starving!

David: Of course you are! You're eating for two now.

He touches her belly.

David: Daddy is going to make some lunch for you while your mommy is taking a rest in the livingroom.

Maddie smiles and kisses David.

Maddie: You're going to be a great father.

David: And you a great mother.

Maddie: David?

David: Yes Maddie?

Maddie: I would like to go into the city today.

David: Okay, I'll take you.

Maddie: No David. I have to do something there which still has to be a surprise for you.

David: O...kay?

Maddie: I'll ask Agnes to come with me.

David: Agnes?!?!?!

Maddie: Yeah, I need some girl talk.

David: Girl talk?!?...Okay, I guess that's something I can't do for you.

Maddie(while smiling): No...I don't think so.

David: Okay, you call Agnes.

Maddie: Okay, and you make that lunch. And tonight it's your time to make up!

She winks at David and he has a smirk on his face.

David: Deal!

He walks to the kitchen and stands still by the door, watching Maddie walking into the livingroom. He sighs and then enters the kitchen to make some lunch.

After a LOOONG weekend;) :p I will continue with the story:

We see Maddie and Agnes walking through the mall. They pass a babystore (?) Maddie takes a look through the window and lays her hand down on her belly.

Agnes: Miss Hayes...eh... Mrs Addison?

Maddie: Yes Miss DiPesto...eh...Mrs Viola?

They both laugh.

Agnes: Well, what I wanted to ask you...did you and David think of names yet? (Taz did you?)

Maddie: Well, not exactly Agnes.

Agnes: Oh...why not?

Maddie: We didn't really took the time for it. We had other things to do.

Agnes: Oh...That would be the first thing I would think of actually.

Maddie: You would?

Agnes: Yes...I'm sure you have thought about it as well when you where still a kid.

Maddie: Well...yes, I guess I did.

Agnes: Maybe you should talk about it with Mr Addison.

Maddie: Yes Agnes I will, thank you...Do you want to take a look inside this store?

Agnes: Sure, I love babyclothes.

In the meanwhile at Blue Moon (or the blue building:p)

David is sitting at his desk when Bert enters the room.

Bert: Hello Mr Addison!

David: Hello Bert. I was thinking!

Bert: Call a doctor!

David raises an eyebrow after Bert yelled that line.

Bert: Eh..erhum..sorry Mr Addison, it became kind of a habit.

David: That's okay Bert, but don't let it happen again. You're still my employee not my banterbuddy.

Bert: Okay...so what where you thinking?

David: Well, since Maddie is pregnant...

Bert: Yes, she is.

David: DUH! maybe we should give her a babyshower soon.

Bert: Agnes is taking care of that Mr Addison.

David: Good. So, why did you enter my office?

Bert: To tell you there is a new client waiting outside.

David: WHAT!?! And you kept me talking about babyshowers!?!

David rushes into the outher office where he sees a man waiting infront of Agnes' receptiondesk.

David: I'm so sorry I kept you waiting Mr ....

Man: My name is Herod and I'm looking for a woman.

David: Herod?

Mr Herod: Yes, is there something wrong?

David: No, nothing...Let's go to my office so you can tell me the whole story.

We continue......

The man sits down and starts talking.
David takes a good look at the man and something about this man strikes him as familiar. And the man has a remarkable red nose.
David believes that the man has been drinking but still does not smell any alcohol.
The man tells David that he is looking for a particular woman who is going to have a child.
This child is a very special child, it's the CHOSEN one.
According to a well known fortune teller, this child is chosen to save the man's company which will be bankrupt in 2 days from now.
This company can not go bankrupt because a whole village depends on this company. The whole village is employed by this factory.
It's a factory that makes wooden toys.
And the toys are exported all over the world.....

The man keeps talking while in the meantime.........


In the babystore......

Maddie and Agnes are very busy babbling about the baby and looking for clothes and other small stuff that is still needed for the baby.
They leave the store with two bags each and return to the car.

Maddie: "You know Agnes, I think we should buy some hot coco for the boys and bring it over to Blue Moon, what do you think?"

Agnes:" Oh Miss Hayes!! Oops... I mean Maddie, that sound like the most Christmassy thing to do!"

Maddie: "Ok! Let's surprise them then!"

Maddie and Agnes stop at StarBruce to get the hot coco and then drive over to Blue Moon.

As they enter the office, both with big smiles and coco in their hands, David and Mr Herod come out of Davids office.
As Mr Herod walks over to Maddie and Agnes he looks into Maddie's eyes and starts to stumble.......

Mr Herod:" But ..... no!..... uhm.... it ....can't be.... it can't be you!
Hair like gold, eyes blue as the ocean.....hair like gold , eyes blue as....."
Boom!
Mr Herod faints and falls down on the floor.
David and Maddie look at eachother and help the man up, they drag him into David's office and lay him down on the couch.

Maddie: "Oh my God David, what happened, who is this man and why does he faint at my feet?"
David :" Hey I thought you were used to men fainting at your feet?" He smirks.

Maddie smiles and kisses him lightly on the lips.
Maddie:" I'm serious David, what did he want?"

David:"I don't know ... he told me he was looking for a ......pregnant woman.... Oh my God Maddie! It is you!
The man was looking for you! Hair like gold, eyes blue as the ocean!"

Maddie and David at the same time: WHAT?!

Agnes: Well, shouldn't we do something about this?

Maddie and David: ABOUT WHAT??

Agnes points to Mr Herod who is still laying on the couch.
Maddie and David look at eachother.

Maddie and David: Oooh, that.

David smirks and Maddie smiles.

Maddie: So, what do we do with him?

David: Find a bucket and throw water in his face?

Maddie: No David, don't you dare!

David: Maybe you should kiss him, works for me all the time.

Maddie: Addison! I'm not going to kiss a stranger!

David: He's not a stranger. He's Mr Herod and he seems to know you! (he gets a mean look from Maddie) Well, we could let him rest here for a while and go to your office to...

Maddie: To what?

David: To discuss the case with my hot coco you left with Agnes.

Maddie: Is there a case?

David: Yes, and Mr Herod is the client. Where you here the last 10 minutes?

Maddie: And you want to discuss this case with a hot coco?

David: And you. I need someone to talk back to me when I'm discussing a case.

Maddie: Right.

David: Right.

David puts his arms around her shoulders and together they walk out of Davids office. Leaving the stranger behind.
