View Full Version : Who was nastier, Mr. Slate or Mr. Spacely? GARFIELDKOOL 10-21-2004, 12:33 PM I'd have to go with Spacely. Mr. Slate was nasty, but sometimes he gave Fred the benefit of the doubt. He had a mellow side. Spacely on the other hand, was plain nasty and cold. He didn't have a heart at all. Plus, he was greedier. George Jetson never stood up to him. Even in an episode where Spacely promoted George to vice president, he still got fired. Spacely was also abusive toward his rival Cogswell Cogs and kept scheming to put Cogswell out of business. His line became a catchphrase "JETSON, YOU'RE FIRED!!" Both of them were "slave drivers", but Spacely COULD be more reasonable at times.
