That's 99 World Series* and 38 best-of-seven League Championship Series. And the fact that the Red Sox had been crushed 19-8 in Game 3 and it was the Yankees that had the Series lead made it extremely amazing. I hope this will teach George Steinbrenner a lesson: No matter how hard you try, you cannot buy World Championships.
