I was wondering why Ron Howard left Happy Days so abruptly in 1980. They briefly explained his depature. He never returned to even make a guest appearance until the last season... and the final episode of the show.

It was horrible after that. Not the show I grew up with, that's for sure. Too bad they didn't just end it there. Fonzie87 12-02-2004, 10:18 PM Ron Howard left because he was getting into directing. That, and I believe he was starring in a movie during that time, too. I think. happydaysgirl 12-14-2004, 04:17 PM ron leaved happy days to make movies in the 80,s faraj 01-09-2005, 05:33 PM Happy Days after 1980 is like Laverne and Shirley after 1995 Why's that? Why that particular year 1995? Or do you mean 1965 because that was when the setting took place in CA for L&S. Dr. Thong 01-09-2005, 05:59 PM Why's that? Why that particular year 1995? Or do you mean 1965 because that was when the setting took place in CA for L&S. Actually, both shows went bad the same year, 1980. Ron and Donny left HD and L&S up and moved to Californ-i-a. If I ever do get the Happy Days DVDs, I will definitely stop with season seven. |
