I just read that Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins has been captured. UM profiled her in 2001.

For those who don't recall the case, she was wanted for the 2000 kidnapping and murder of Kyle McElroy. The victim, a Texas teenager, was the son of manufacturing businessman Kevin McElroy.

She's been on the run for four years. Now the woman accused of kidnapping and killing a Troup teen has been caught.
The FBI says Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins, now in her mid-30s, was captured at the Texas-Mexico border Thursday.
Lingo-Perkins will be charged with capital murder in the March 2000 abduction and murder of then 18 year old Kyle McElroy. Along with three other men, authorities say Lingo-Perkins tried to extort money from McElroy's family before the killing. Those men are now in prison.
