I was supposed to trade with a Sue Maple back in May, but she still hasn't sent my tapes. I did a trader check on her in a few Yahoo Groups!. I am still trying to figure out if She is PAM Maples.. I hope not. But this person is in Florida.

On a completely different trade, someone else had ordered a set of shows that I had listed at gochange.net. This person was named Sue Nicole. She wanted to pay for 96 episodes. I said that was fine. She told me it was for a birthday present and asked that I mail it to a friend of hers. I just received her money order on Saturday. I was planning on mailing out her tapes this week.

Then today another trader emailed me and told me she thought Pam Maples was going by the new email address MomofHayley@hotmail.com... Funny enough, that is the email address of Sue Nicole who ordered the 96 episodes from me. I just checked the address where she wanted me to send the tapes... Sure enough, it's in TN..

I know how much this person has ripped people off. I kind of just want to send her the money back and not send her anymore shows... She sent me a list of shows she had after seeing my website asking to trade with me. UGH! This makes me so mad.

Would you just send her what she paid for or return the money? I feel that if I did send her the shows, she'd rip people off with them.

Personally, I'd be tempted to keep the money, as compensation for what she owes you and not send anything. But is that right? No.

If she used a USPS money order and filled out all of the blanks (required for reporting it to the USPS), she could very well report you for mail fraud, and then you'd be in hot water.

I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't have half of what she claims to have because her TV show listing is obviously a tool she uses to rake in victims. I wouldn't say that accepting the money and filling the order would contribute to her thievery because she doesn't send anyway. :rolleyes:

The main thing to beware of is Loudon, Tennessee. I know I sound like a broken record to those already in the know, but it's the truth.

Pam's an expert liar, and she can go on and on in emails to the point where one would think that her story would have to be true to be rattled off so quickly. Her recent tactic is to claim to be from Florida, now residing with relatives in Loudon, TN. The address she has been giving out is identical to Pam's.

Now, let's be logical about this. If you were staying with relatives, would you have the liberty to:

We live in Flordia but because of the hurricane we'll be staying with my husband's family for now.

Previous to this complaint, I'd received the above letter from a potential victim inquiring about momofhayley. I'd also gotten a similar email from another trader, stating basically the same thing, giving the identical address.

I've known for awhile to watch out for someone in Loudon, TN. Had this person wanted to trade with me, I would have said no after seeing their address.

How could I find out for sure that Sue Maple who ripped me off in May is Pam Maples? Sue Maple's address in Florida is:

You'll end up with yet another link in this puzzle. It might not be a bad idea to address a letter to the person who actually lives there and give them heads up if they aren't aware of being used for purposes of ripping people off. Of course, birds of a feather flock together, so this friend or relative might not have qualms about stealing.

I actually didn't connect the two until I read your reply and some messages on a Yahoo Group. It seems Pam has used the name Sue before..

I didn't want to judge just by the last name "Maple", but I think the name Sue Maple looks pretty guilty. I did a search on a Yahoo Group for "MomofHayley" and people were questioning her about being Pam back in August. Someone even said she was Sue Maple.

The only thing I cannot connect are the mailing addresses. I mailed Sue's stuff to Florida, and I don't see one complaint from someone claiming they sent Pam something to a Florida address. I have done several searches on Google and Yahoo. There is no other connection than the name Maple. The link you sent me for the white pages showed a different name.. Not Sue and not Maple. Very odd.

So, since I cannot be 100% sure they are the same person, I will go ahead and send Momofhayley her stuff.

If I every find out they are the same person, I will hit the roof. LOL ;)

I can't believe it. After I figured out momofhayley lived EXACTLY where "Pam Maples" did/does, I posted to some Yahoo groups to warn others and they get pissed at ME.

Momofhayley told this flip flop story and many people believed it and said she 'doesn't have bad feedback' and shouldn't worry. Go figure.

I would be thankful if someone pointed something like this out to me. Well, it sounds like people will at LEAST ask her to send first.

Oh! Here's a story she posted about who she is, she ALSO claimed to have a sister named "Sue Maple", which is the person that ripped me off. I don't buy any of it.

Its fine if people want to be cautious trading with me. I totally
understand that but I don't understand being slaundered like I have
been when I have not had any complaints about others not getting
their tapes and I don't plan to either. I honor my trades. I don't
wish to stop trading because of someone else who may have lived at
that address before. And if Pam Maple lived at this address now or
before there's no way she could of been married. It's a girls only
house so they wouldn't of been able to live together. And I'm pretty
sure she's not related to the landlord either to have the last name
Beaty. My guess is she just used any last name she could find with
all these names popping up and who knows. However, I don't know and I
don't think anyone really has the facts straight or knows this story
completely. I know I don't. I'm very confused here. If you would like
me to send you my phone number I will and you can call and talk to
me. Thats no problem as I've done nothing wrong here but try and
trade. I would just like to get this straightened out so I can
continue with what I came here for in the first place. To trade for
some shows I want and to help others out. "

She's totally confused about your accusations? No! Pam's an expert story teller. She wants you to feel totally confused. You should hear the story she told me... "I can't believe I'm telling you this, a complete stranger, but..." etc. etc.

She's a liar, that's all there is to it. She starts "rumors" to confuse everyone (her husband died, she died, she's my cousin, she's moved to Illinois/Florida/Timbucktu, etc.).

People that get irritated with you for posting this information are those who typically have never been ripped off or don't care what happens to their neighbors.

The sad fact of the matter is that posting notorious bad traders is a thankless job too much of the time. The accused inevitably turns the table somewhere along the line. For that very reason, I appreciate you for bringing this stuff to light. More often than not, these traders have become experts at manipulation.

Don't let this garbage worry you. You are not in the wrong! You've done all you can do. Those who've been around know Pam for what she is. Newbies will continue to get ripped off despite warnings to stay away from Loudon, Tennessee, but they can't say you (and others) didn't warn them. Sigh...

She orderd 50 episodes from me last year, and she was supposed to give me 50 in return. But when I emailed her two months after sending her the tapes I promised her, she was all like, "I don't remember you. So you said we were gonna trade 50 episodes? So where's my 50? I havn't received them" Ugh, she was a huge pain in my butt.

She got her MAUDE episodes from me, before I knew who she was way back when. This has been a while.

I hope she's not ripping people off with that set of tapes. It would make me feel like I contributed because the tapes were mine.

If I'd have known about her at the time I wouldn't have had anything to do with her.

Id' avoid her at all costs.

I changed my email options so I could see both of their IP numbers. I decided to check the host and they are BOTH the same person. There is no doubt.. So, I wanted to warn people to watch out for the address in Florida AS well as Loudon, TN....

I don't know why it is but whenever a notorious trader is revealed for what she/he is, the victims end up getting attacked in one way or another like they did when Pam (aka momofhayley) was recently brought up on a couple of yahoo tape trading boards. (I have serious suspicions that these naysayers are actually hidden aliases of the bad trader in question.)

Don't apologize for adding this confirmation. If it saves one person from getting ripped off, it's worth it.

at the moment a person is being attacked for questioning wether sue/pam should be reported to the authorities because others question if this whole tape trading/selling thing is illegal anyway!!
i am suspicious of any of the attackers just in case they are pam in disguise:(

that thread on sue maples is one of the longest i have ever seen on a yahoo groups message board ,i am reading from afar :D
at the moment a person is being attacked for questioning wether sue/pam should be reported to the authorities because others question if this whole tape trading/selling thing is illegal anyway!!
i am suspicious of any of the attackers just in case they are pam in disguise:(

I've watched bad traders exposed in lots of places, including this board. It seems the more notorious the bad trader, the harder it is to expose them because of the naysayers. TJ has confirmed here over and over that most of the time the accused traders are using aliases. That is one of their tactics, besides plain ol' storytelling.

I quit moderating at videotape-trading months ago and vid-for-trade a couple of weeks ago for this same reason. When the inmates have the monopoly, I'm outta here! :dog:

One of the reasons I appreciate this board so much is because TJ is able to confirm matching IPs of members so it is not quite as easy for the rip-off artists to manipulate and fool newbies. ;)

Hi, I just received an email from momofhayley@hotmail.com - she calls herself Sue Nicole now.

She wanted to know if I was interested in getting some "Run of the House" episodes from her.

I have previously had a run in with her about a couple of years ago (she ripped me off good).

I wonder why people do that? I have noticed that eBay (http://www.ebay.com) seems to get alot of complaints back. If you pay via PayPal, do they take care of the problem?
