I was wondering what some of all of our favorites episodes were. I haven't seen them all yet. However, some of the best I've seen so far are "The Boat Builders," "Water Anyone," and "Found Money."

These are all from the earlier years, and I'm sure there are lots of others. What are your favorites? :)

Very difficult to choose an all-time favorite, but for sheer laughs I'd have to go with "Wally's Haircomb". Ward and June's reaction to that hair and the jazzy music that plays each time they look at it just cracks me up every time.

Hmm, hard question. But "Beaver Won't Eat" is one of my very favorites, if not my #1 favorite!

I agree that "Wally's Haircomb" is a great one! I didn't really like "Beaver Won't Eat" as I felt too sorry for him there!

I think "Beaver Won't Eat" is terrible because of the way June acts! Many people don't like the later episodes as well as the early years.

A favorite of mine from the later years is "Beaver's Fear," where Jerry Mathers puts in what I think is a really good performance!

my favorites are "Wally's Pug Nose", "Don Juan Beaver", "A Night in the Woods", "Beaver Takes a Bath", and "My Brother's Girl"

Offhand I'd say "Lumpy Rutherford", "Teacher Comes to Dinner" and "Summer in Alaska". I'm sure I'll think of more. I generally like the later ones better.

Most of my favorites are from the middle seasons (3, 4, and parts of 5). I like "Lumpy Rutherford" too. Like when they shout "Hey meathead" to him and Gwen (Fred's wife) says "Maybe they're calling you dear"

For some reason they rarely show it. It was on recently though!

They never show "In the Soup" or "Captain Jack" anymore either:( I saw a little of both though once.

I don't know exactly why that is. We will have to wait for the dvd to come out! :D

Well they don't show Captain Jack because there is a toilet seen in it (which was prohibited when the episode was made), but I don't know why they don't show "In the Soup". I'll just have to get the DVD then:p

I don't think that's the reason they don't show Captain Jack...I mean, why would they not show a toilet seat on tv in 2004?

I think the reason they don't show some episodes as much as others is because of some sort of contractual thing...I don't remember specifically, but I rememeber reading something on the TVLand website about how they only get permission to show certain episodes of certain shows a fixed number of times. I'm not sure why though.

I know the toilet was an issue when it originally aired but I don't think that is the problem today either!

After seeing it tonight, I will have to add "Beaver and Andy" to my favorites list too! :)

Back in the early days of TVLand, they showed "Captain Jack" and "Wally's Practical Joke" quite often as part of "boxed sets" and "Vertivision." By doing so, they may have used up their quota of how many times they could show these episodes. That was a long time ago, however, and I would think that the contract has been renewed several times and that wouldn't be a problem anymore.

That's true and I remember that "In the Soup" was also shown in those years! That was when TV Land had "retro-mercials" too!

I haven't seen "Captain Jack," "Wally's Practical Joke" or "In the Soup" either, but have heard they are funny! :)

My favorite episode is the one where Beaver and Larry skipped school and got caught on TV at the supermarket where the cowboy that showed Western movies on TV was.

- Beaver joins the record club and gets in debt.

- Beaver convinces his dad to buy him an ice skating rink membership, and then to buy ice skates (from a fraudulent seller.)

- Beaver convinces his dad to let him take a bus trip to visit his Mexican friend. Wally convinces Ward to let him go with Beaver. Many mishaps follow.

- Favorite: Wally and Beaver become stockholders. I especially like the way Wally and Eddie are like-minded on a high-tech company, and Beaver likes a soap company. Eddie tells Beaver, "A grubby kid like you ought to keep the soap company in business for a while." Beaver criticizes hi-tech and says, "It seems like everything you see now is 'space age.' The other day I got a new sweat shirt, and it was labelled as a 'space age' sweatshirt." Classic.

- In general, I like any scene where Wally tries to act grownup, Eddie tries to be a bigshot, or Mr. Cleaver tries to cover up a dumb mistake from his wife or kids.

It is really tough narrowing them down, because there are SO MANY great episodes. One of my favorites is "Beaver Won't Eat," where Beaver refuses to eat brussels sprouts, and June is all over his case about that.

I don't know the name of it but its were the whole family goes out to the woods and the boys would rather see a picture. then they find a little town by the camp. I heard that was Tony Dows favorite episode.

I like any episode where Eddie is being a real "wise guy." One of the best features of the later episodes is that Eddie really refines his wise guy schtick.
