I've only seen the Godfather once, recently. After seeing stuff like Goodfellas and the Sopranos first, I'm not sure if I can appreciate Godfather like I should, it's considered one of the greatest ever made. I am Him 09-21-2004, 11:29 AM The Godfather Liza 09-21-2004, 01:31 PM The Sting. I love that movie. I haven't seen The Deer Hunter yet, but I rented it last night. So, maybe I'll change my mind (I doubt it could be better than The Sting though). Nighthawk76 09-21-2004, 02:45 PM The French Connection! One of my all time favorite movies. Brian 09-21-2004, 04:14 PM I liked The French Connection The Godfather The Sting One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest Rocky I've seen Annie Hall but I found Woody Allen's character to be too neurotic. I would have probably liked it better if he toned it down or something. Not one of my favorite movies. Rhiannon 09-21-2004, 05:28 PM The Godfather and Annie Hall Brad Russ 09-21-2004, 09:43 PM Originally posted by Liza The Sting. I love that movie. I saw The Deer Hunter for the first time just a couple years ago myself, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just another war movie, but more of a story of friendship, and of just how much war can change a person forever. Surprisingly there's very little warefare in the film. The movie starts off a little slow, but the last hour or so is some of the most emotional stuff Iv'e ever seen on film. Definitely the kind of movie that stays with you for awhile! Liza 09-22-2004, 11:15 PM I'm just looking over the list again - wow, talk about a decade full of "guy films." With the possible exceptions of Annie Hall and Kramer vs. Kramer. Let me just say all of these films are movies that my dad and brother love, and I never had any desire to see. dandelion wine 09-22-2004, 11:30 PM Love 'em all but my number one choice is Kramer vs Kramer. Dean Winchester 09-23-2004, 03:42 PM Originally posted by Liza I'm just looking over the list again - wow, talk about a decade full of "guy films." It's nice to see a girl belittle "man movies", lol. jamesanthony 09-23-2004, 03:55 PM I like Cuckoo's Nest and Kramer Vs Kramer. Janice 09-26-2004, 01:10 AM That was a great decade for movies. I voted for Kramer vs Kramer. It was such a sad movie. Meryl Streep won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role. Crimson and Clover 09-29-2004, 12:55 PM One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest The Deer Hunter Skywalker 02-27-2005, 07:03 AM The Godfather. GeorgeJefferson 03-04-2005, 01:01 AM The Godfather is a masterpiece. Zebra 3 03-05-2005, 08:19 PM The French Connection ('71), The Sting ('73), One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest ('75) (though I prefer the Oscar nominated Jaws ('75) from that year) and finally Rocky ('76) (though Oscar nominated Network ('76) is one of my all-time favourites). GARFIELDKOOL 03-05-2005, 10:26 PM Kramer vs. Kramer baby. That was to me, Dustin Hoffman's breakout movie. I saw this movie many times as a kid. I got this movie on vhs. I recommend this classic. Dude111 05-21-2024, 11:48 AM I picked One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and Kramer vs Kramer.. But I really like 1 flew over the cuckoos Nest!! |
