Carlton wasn't nutty so he shouldn't be compared to Steve Urkel. Carlton was a smart guy who wasn't into Hip Hop. So he was in no way a NERD. A better comparison would be Mork or Urkel, two NUTS

Exactly, there was nothing unusual about Carlton. Will was the Weirdo-LOL Especially in season 1 but he calmed down after that.

Because he was smart, he was prentitious, he cared about money way too much, Tom Jones was his favorite singer.

Im not saying he was a bad character, he was the best part of the show IMO.
