Even though there was lyrics.... I would consider ILL to be "w/out lyrics", because the instrumental theme was what most of the world is accustomed to.

I remembered a showed called Secret Service. It had a kickin theme song! The show was like Top Cops. I guessin it was around the early 90's when that show was on.

"Cheers" and "Friends" not only had great theme songs, they fit the shows perfectly.

The theme music for "Will & Grace" is pretty catchy too.

I'm not really sure about sitcom. Mama's Family's theme song really puts me in the mood for the show, but I wouldn't call it the best. I really liked the first season theme song from Reba too.

But the BEST TV theme song EVER OF ALL TIME is the 1982-1983 arrangement of the Knots Landing theme song. I really like how all of the primetime soaps from the period kept the same theme song every year, but just made different arrangements of it. I like the disco themes of KL's early years the best. I also like the more romantic versions of the late 80s...
