I can only think of one known CBS sitcom in the 80's era and that's Kate and Allie. But i cannot think of another CBS Comedy between 1980-89. I'm thinking CBS was more popular in dramas during that era.

The only one that premiered on CBS in this time period that I like still enjoy to watch today (whenever a network is smart enough to pick it up) is NEWHART. I think it is obscenely underrated and its finale stands out as one of the greatest in TV history. I almost prefer it to Newhart's 1970's sitcom. snl fan 08-14-2004, 04:13 AM i liked kate and allie and newhart AB 03-14-2007, 03:43 PM WKRP Designing Women Murphy Brown Newhart TVFactFan 03-14-2007, 03:58 PM WKRP Designing Women Murphy Brown Newhart N@N didn;t allow me to get into Designing women or Murphy Brown friendsfan77 03-14-2007, 05:23 PM Designing Women Newhart Kate & Allie WKRP in Cincinnati Murphy Brown Michael72581 03-14-2007, 10:12 PM The Jeffersons Newhart freshprinceofLA 03-15-2007, 02:01 AM My sister sam charles in charge newhart wkrp comedyfreak 03-15-2007, 04:07 AM Kate and Allie Newhart Square Pegs Designing Women-Casual watcher when nothing else was on.
