Sherman was the best in playing the role of a TV characteer with a temper and Bill was average playing a Dad in the 80's. Bill was funny at times but Sherman was always Hysterical with that temper tandrum.

I don't recall Sherman every playing the serious father role, All in the Family, The Jefferson, Amen, his character was always the same. I would have to say I enjoy them equally.
