Steve M. 07-25-2004, 09:22 PM "I Want A New Rug" - a parody of Huey Lewis's "I Want A New Drug." "I Want A New Duck?" What kind of parody is that? Al should have done a song about buying new carpet.
"I Want Your Sax" - a parody of George Michael's "I Want Your Sex." Weird Al tries to steal Bobby Keys's saxophone. :)
"Miss Your Lunch" - a parody of Janet Jackson's "Miss You Much." Weird Al forgot his lunch and wish his best friend hadn't forgotten his.

This would be a great post for "Weird" Jack Wilso-vic!!!
I, myself, can't even think of anything right now.
But is it me, or does anybody else hear the original song that Weird Al parodied and sing it like Weird Al's version? Everytime I hear "Another One Bites the Dust", I always sing "Another One Rides the Bus"!! And yes, I already know I'm strange.

AMackII 02-22-2018, 08:38 PM I got the ones that Weird Al Yankovic should be working on...
Ode to Classic TV(a meldey parody of Train’s “Play That Song” & “Hey Soul Sister”): Al talks about TV during the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s in the song
Hall of Fame(parody of Terrence D’Arby’s “Sign Your Name”): Al will mention each & every Hall of Fame including Pro Football Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Hollywood Walk of Fame
Regulus 02-23-2018, 01:26 AM Here's a few for the holidays.
Fad Toy (Parody of Gloria Estefan's Bad Boy) Al sings about that one toy everyone and their brother wants under their tree on Christmas morning.
Up, Up in a Sleigh (Parody of the Fifth Dimention's Up, Up and Away)
Do You Believe in Santa? (Parody of The Lovin Spoonful's Do You Believe in Magic?)
North Pole (Parody of Petulia Clark's Downtown)
Do they know that we're not poor anymore? (Parody of Band Aid's Do they know it's Christmastime at all?) - There's a town in Ethiopia that gets over $500,000.00 a year in royalties from this song!
Some Beatle ones:
Jack Tripper (Day Tripper)- an ode to the beloved Threes Company character
Penny Lame (Penny Lane)- pennies are obsolete. We don't need 'em
Yelp! (Help!)- leaving reviews is getting out of control
D-Dey 02-26-2018, 05:37 PM There have been a parody or two that I've thought His Royal Weirdness should do, but I forgot what they were.
On the other hand a polka medely that I would've liked to hear is one that began with "Counting Backwards," by Throwing Muses and ended with "Divine Thing," by The Soup Dragons.
Steve M. 02-27-2018, 11:38 AM "Randy Newman," a parody of Chicago's "Harry Truman." America needs Randy Newman to sing about the songs we love! :D
MrCleveland 02-27-2018, 12:31 PM How about...
A Sinatra Parody? "My Lady Loves to Camp", a parody of "That Lady is a Tramp". Al meets a woman who like camping.
Instead of The Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin", It's "My Night With Satan", the Devil visits Al for the night. Instead of a flute solo...he plays the accordion.
How about "When Pigs Fly"? This parody of Prince's "When Doves Cry" can be about what actually did happen to Weird Al and Prince...Al was refused parodies of Prince songs, so he can talk about "When can I parody your song? Will it happen when pigs fly"?
