And that sucked soooo much! Not that I hated her or anything...but I'm just remembering the time my most favorite teacher EVER almost became my next door neighbor in 1998. That would have rocked SOOOOOO much. :(

Have you seen the choices up for the role of JR in the Dallas movie?

One of the choices was Sean P Diddly Combs  No I didn't hear of that. The last time I heard it was Bruce Willis and John Travolta trying out for it. I'm sure it will suck like 95% of all TV to Big Screen movies.

There was this math teacher at the middle school -- I think she's since long quit teaching there -- and she got married to another teacher, so her last name became Mrs. Harding.

Also...My fave teacher got (re)married on July 19, 2001. She kept her maiden name. If she had changed to her husband's last name, she would've been Mrs. Darling.

 Yeah A&E showed a biography of Larry Hagman last week, and they wanted people to vote who they would choose as JR Ewing in the movie and P Diddy was one of the choices

I think Mel Gibson would be a great JR. If not, then Mel would make a great Hannibal if they ever did an A Team movie :D

ALF - Season 1 announcement mentions extras
Posted by David Lambert
7/14/2004

We finally have gotten some word about the extras for ALF - Season 1. They, along with the specs, where compiled into a short announcement that Lions Gate made available. You'll note the extras are listed at the bottom:

ALF: SEASON 1

Street Date: 8/10/04
DVD SRP: $39.98 (4-disc set)

On September 22, 1986, a brown furry lovable alien named Gordon Shumway crashed his spaceship into the Los Angeles home of the Tanners (Willie, Kate, Lynn and Brian). They immediately took him into their home and their hearts, and named him ALF, short for Alien Life Form. For four years ALF lived with the Tanners, always elusively avoiding houseguests, chasing the family cat (Lucky), eating everything insight, and breaking anything of value...but the Tanners always loved the old ALFer. A People's Choice Award winner for Favorite New Comedy Series, ALF was met with wild success in the 1980s, delivering NBC its highest time period shares and instigating a massive merchandising program that is still going strong 20 years later.

Closed Captioned: No
Spanish Availability: No
Format: Full Screen
Running Time: Approximately 616 minutes
DVD Audio Status: 2.0 Digital Stereo
DVD Extras: Pilot episode, Never-before-seen gag reel

Our thanks to regular contributor Pavan Badal for this report!

:thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

OMG, pavanbadal was the one who sent in that report...

Anyway...because of that, Alf is going to lose a vote from me...

Yep, it does! :) Most of the time, if you select the language option on your DVD's, it turns on "open captioning", which is simply white letters with a black outline (it doesn't have the solid black background). But if you DON'T turn that feature on in your DVD disc, the regular captioning from your TV will still come on :) My DVD player also has a decoder chip in it, so when I access the regular DVD menu (when I'm NOT playing any discs), I can turn on the captioning there. SWEET.

ABC is conducting a small poll at their online website, in the "daytime" section. There are just two questions, both asking readers to indicate what they would like to see in the way of soap-opera-related DVDs.

To take the poll, click here. You'll see ads on the left for ABC's daytime lineup, including All My Children, Once Life To Life, and General Hospital. All three soaps were previously featured on a best-of DVD, released this past January: Daytime's Greatest Weddings.

On the right side of the web page you'll see (and hear!) a streaming videoplayer section. The poll is right below that. Here's what it will ask you (note that what you see below is NOT the poll...to actually take the poll, click here.):

How would you like your soaps to appear on DVD?
o Best of collections
o Chronological - from beginning to now
o Reverse chronological - latest to oldest
o Beginning with a particular year
o I don't want to collect soaps on DVD

How much would you like to buy at a time?
o One week of shows
o One month of shows
o An entire storyline
o A whole year
o None. I'll watch them on television

Our thanks to "Sean F." for sending this along to us. There's no telling how long this poll will last, so hurry and let them know what you think!

Check it out sometime if you happen to run across it on tv. Really isn't a great movie but.. my love for goofy movies is undeniable. TJL saw that I'd watched both Terror Train and Just One of the Guys, and wasn't sure which was scarier.

C'mon now! Those are great movies. ;)

I like just one of the guys. It's a shame Joyce never went on to become a big movie star.

Hmmm...damn. I can't find out if the sets are captioned. I can't remember....I was at Target today and saw all the season box sets lined up next to each other...I know I looked at the back, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER!!!

Amazon, etc. aren't being of help, either.
