View Full Version : I...Have A Problem.
Chad22 07-09-2004, 11:12 PM Ok, So im sitting here tonight and i open up the fridge to get a soda...And inside i see a buger king bag. The bag does not belong to me, Yet i become intrigued and decide to take a peak in. When i opened it i seen a burger in a wrapper, I Took a peak in the wrapper and saw a delicious Looking Bacon double cheeseburger.
I Knew it wasnt mine, So i decide to go sit down and watch TV And get on the net to try to get it off my mind. Yet....The entire time the burger is stuck in my mind, And no mater how hard i try to block it out....The mouth watering piece of perfection continued to fill my mind.
So then i finally give in and eat the dang thing, Quite delicious i may add, And now i feel bad cause it wasnt mine, Yet i ate it.
This isnt the first case of being over obsessed with it either. You see, I Take great pride in the fact that i go the extra mile to stay clean. I Wash my hands 30 or 40 times a day, Avoid touching disgusting things at all costs, And dont even like to shake hands with people because you never know where they've been. Yet...One day i dropped my burger king burger on the floor, And while part of me told me to throw it away and forget about it....The other part of me could not get my mind off of the tasty treat.
So i went against my beliefs and comitted an act of UNSANITARYNESS Just so i could eat the dang burger...And the worst part is id do it again if i had the chance.
I Think im addicted to Fast Food.
Brent88 07-09-2004, 11:14 PM I love fast food. In fact there are about 5 hamburgers from Burger King in the fridge. :)

Considering all the weight i've lost in the past year, Its probably not wise to be as obsessed with it as i am.

dawsongirl 07-09-2004, 11:20 PM Did that dropped burger beat the 5 sec rule? Because, then it wouldn't have been very dirty.

Cashodeen 07-09-2004, 11:35 PM You mean people actually believe the 5 second (or whatever second used) rule? I always thought the majority of people just said it as a joke... with maybe a few who didn't know.
Cashodeen 07-09-2004, 11:40 PM Chad, the fact that you'll eat a dirty whopper just proves to me you have a weakness for fast food!
;)

Dutabi84 07-10-2004, 12:45 PM Fast food is evil..pure evil. I was pretty much off fast food and pop for like 2 months, but my cousin had to come down to Austin and visit, and he got me back on the wagon...still trying to get back off.
About the 5 second rule: I had a bad experience with a dorito once and well...I don't have to say what happened, I might go into seizures.
Warm & Fuzzy 07-10-2004, 02:08 PM It's quite impossible at times to control your cravings, especially for the certain foods you like. Food just has its way of overpowering you. I know because I have a food addiction too, or rather an array of eating disorders. My obsession with food has become SO immense that I don’t think of anything else. I spend my whole day struggling with food, whether its trying to avoid them, bingeing, counting calories, burning calories, planning meals, or what have you. I’ve pretty much withdrawn from the things I like most. I used to like rollerblading and jumping-rope, but now—it’s a punishment. I don’t enjoy them. I don’t talk much to anyone anymore either, even to those I used to speak with on a daily basis—I’d prefer to be alone and alone with food. And when I AM talking to someone, I want to talk about food, me, myself, and I. (Like what I’m doing now!!!) I’m so self-absorbed, I know. My problem with food has become so critical that I no longer care about anyone else, and what THEY have to say. I wish I weren’t the person I am now, though, but I can’t help it. So, I apologize.
Titania 07-10-2004, 04:03 PM Maybe try to develop some control about it? Like limit yourself to only eating fast food on weekends or try to avoid places where you know you'll end up stopping at the Burger King on the way.
I really don't like fast food. My addictions? Starbucks, Orange Julius, and soy... god I'm a nerd.
