My b-day : 12/7/88
Cactus Jack 07-03-2004, 09:12 PM BTW is this book by Joel Whitburn?
Kay Scarpetta 07-03-2004, 09:29 PM 5-29-89
Nighthawk76 07-04-2004, 03:04 AM I think the number one song the day I was born (8/5/76) was "Disco Duck" by Rick Dees. I do know that Led Zeppelin's Presence was the number one album. Not one of Zeppelin's better albums (though it is still good) but it is sure better than "Disco Duck".

jamesanthony 07-06-2004, 04:04 PM For anyone interested I saw a book at Tower Records in Lincoln Center that has photocopies of the Billboard Hot 100 for every week in the 1980s (I think that it was called Billboard Hot 100- the 80s). It was $80 in the store, probably cheaper online at a site like e-bay. I wonder if they have a book like this for the other decades. Here in NYC the main Manhattan library has bound copies of Billboard from the first week in 1990 and I'm not sure but they may have other decades on microfilm or microfiche. I read a lot of the old issues from the 70s and 80s at the Brooklyn library's main branch years ago, but I don't know if they still have them on microfilm.
The Hot 100 was hard to read before Oct 1984, the font type was not very inviting to look at and you could go blind reading the songwriting credits. I guess the idea was that only trade personnel were interested in the data.
By the way, if anyone owns old copies of the magazine how would you be able to appraise their worth? I bought 1985's year end edition when it first came out but I threw it out in 1986. I wonder how uch it would be worth today?

Yes, they have books for other decades. One for '55-'59, the 60's, 70's and 90's as well. I have the 70's, 80's and 90's books.

I figured you were probably born between 1968 to 1972 when in the past you've said how you liked a lot of top 40 pop music when you were in high school, and this was 1984-1986 era stuff

Good deducing, you've got the range right. Maybe I just feel funny about admitting I still watch shows like Degrassi at my age.
July 21, 1980. Throw me a bone.

LOL, don't be. I know a 23 year old who has all the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen films on DVD, loves Hilary Duff and Raven, and also bought the JoJo album. THAT is scarier than being in your 30's and watching a high school program.

None of those links you posted are working, the url's must've been typed incorrectly.
I re-checked my book "Joel Whitburn Presents The Billboard Hot 100 Charts - The Eighties", and the list I posted for AKA is correct. If it's not Billboard, I consider it a second class chart.
