Ben was cool, Mike was cool and the parents. Carol was a WEIRDO! She was not!! :p I actually like Carol, and in the later seasons when Tracey Gold was sick with her anorexia, I def. thought the show suffered without her. I actually prefer Ben over Mike and Carol, but Carol is my second fav. :) dandelion wine 07-04-2004, 04:35 AM Sorry but I have to go with Chrissy. Mr. Television 07-04-2004, 04:39 AM Sorry Leonardo DiCaprio fans I'm going with Luke. spunkygirl 07-04-2004, 01:00 PM Originally posted by mr roper Sorry Leonardo DiCaprio fans I'm going with Luke. :faint: Not my Leo :( :p mt 07-04-2004, 04:31 PM Dwight! Dwight has got to be one of the worst characters I've ever seen on any show. barb1686 07-05-2004, 12:45 PM Originally posted by mt Dwight! In the later seasons Carol could have found herself a really nice guy because she wasn't as nerdy. I guess they realized that in the reunion though. ;) BTW - Carol is my favorite of them all. :D newlife 07-06-2004, 08:22 AM Luke for sure, they did not need him. Moonlight Lady 07-08-2004, 09:49 AM I'm going with Chrissy. She was annoying. Marvo301 07-14-2004, 11:47 PM The character I find unnecesary is Eddie. Mike already had a best friend in Boner. Also Eddie seemed to be pretty much a carbon copy of Mike. What show needs two of the same character? As far as Carol is concerned she may be the most necessary member of the cast. Having one character whose personality is noticibly different from the other characters is what makes a show interesting. It's that difference that is the source of much of the show's comedy as well as the source of many of the storylines on the show. If all the characters were the same it would be a very boring show. Would you really have enjoyed Growing Pains without the relationship, rivalry, and conflict between Mike and Carol? mt 07-15-2004, 08:17 PM I agree Carol was one of the most important characters on the show. Mike's arrogance would have been a lot more annoying than it was without Carol around to chip away at him about his flaws.:smash: barb1686 07-16-2004, 02:11 AM Originally posted by Marvo301 As far as Carol is concerned she may be the most necessary member of the cast. GO TRACEY GOLD!! swedeace 10-17-2004, 02:22 AM I'm going neutral and just leaving all the main characters intact. They all blended well with, at least, one other character. For instance, Luke was the same age as Ben, so I think he went well competing for the same girls and same-age sibling qualities. Dwight blended in with Carol and Mike. Carol needed someone silly in her life (i.e. his quirky qualities are similar to that of Kimmy Gibler from Full House), and Mike needed to throw out some Carol-free one-liners towards him. Chrissy blended in well with Jason and Maggie because she was the family baby and often looked up and mimicked either them or her siblings. So, that's why I think they complimented well! barwars 10-17-2004, 09:05 AM Luke and Chrissy were complete useless. ChanandMon 07-19-2006, 04:44 PM I hated Luke, that's when the show really jumped the shark. Buffyboy323 07-25-2006, 11:32 PM Eeeeew! Who doesn't like Carol???? She's my favorite, after Mike. And I like Luke too! I thought he was great on the show. He's my 3rd favorite character!!!!! I will say that Chrissy shouldn't have grown up in a whole Summer break!!! They should have kept her small, and had the actress grow up on screen, in REAL TIME. That would have made better stories for season 6. Kristen 07-26-2006, 12:03 AM I agree Carol was one of the most important characters on the show. Mike's arrogance would have been a lot more annoying than it was without Carol around to chip away at him about his flaws.:smash: I couldn't agree more. Otherwise, it would've just been Mike picking on Ben, and that would've gotten old. Carol was on more equal footing w/ Mike, so she could give back to him a little. As for Chrissy, I didn't think she was so bad, but I def. don't think she should've become 5 overnight, lol. I agree they should've done that in real-time. Kristen 704Hauser 08-06-2011, 10:07 PM Another Carol fan here :D My least favourite character would have to be either Chrissy or Luke, no doubt they both had their moments (Chrissy's imaginary mouse friend Ike and the episode where Ben & Luke organize the annual psychiatrists' dinner come to mind), but they both didn't add much to the show, as another poster said, they should have had Chrissy grow up in real time. As for Luke, well, you just KNEW the end was nigh! |
