I guess it is pretty evident that Who's The Boss? isn't doing well :(

But I kind of expected it. I could always be wrong, but not a single mention? That speaks volumes, I think.

I hope not, but maybe they don't have the ratings in yet? Is that possible? Or maybe they just didn't release the ratings for WTB yet.

I can't imagine why it wouldn't do well, especially some days it's on after Full House, and some days its on after The Cosby Show. It's got a great time slot.

Maybe with the DVD release out people figure they will just watch when N@N starts airing Season 2

If the ratings for BOTH Fatherhood episodes are in, of course Who's the Boss would be in.

Doesn't look like WTB? did well at all. Not really surprising.

I wasn't sure how long it takes to get the ratings in.

Maybe they're gonna do a separate press release for that

well supposedly Wings does bad on N@N yet they've kept the show for over a year, so that's why I am a bit skeptical.

 Why? WTB is still a popular show. Like I was saying, maybe the DVD release hurt the debut on N@N a bit.

I don't think that is the reason. Who's the Boss? is about two or three years late. If it came then (like when Cosby Show came), it would have done a little well I guess. Because now they are into these 90s shows like Roseanne, Full House, and the upcoming Fresh Prince and Murphy Brown. Unfortunately, I saw it coming that WTB? wouldn't do so well, at least the marathon. I also doubt the regular 10 p.m. slot will do well. I love the show though and it's so much better than the overrated Full House.

I'm not saying they are going to bump it off the schedule, but late nights, like Wings, seems very likely by this fall or even earlier.

I dont understand why WTB? would do so badly on Nick@Nite. Everyone I know (with the acception of LucyFan) loves WTB?, and most people I know hate Fatherhood.

But FH, TCS, Roseanne are all technically 80's shows that happened to end in the 90's same with WTB, Wings is technically their only true 90's sitcom.

Do you think the DVD release hurt the shows debut?

I mean if Wings was doing as bad as people say, wouldn't they take it off the network all together, or do like they did with Family Ties and put it on at 5 or 5:30 am?

Also I wanted to say, no show is gonna be an instant ratings smash, was TCS an instant smash on N@N? Was Full House? Its still early, I give WTB a chance, it's summertime as well, which I know alot of people who don't watch much tv during the summer.

Actually, I do think both shows were. You can probably do a search of these boards and find it. You can see how Fatherhood was an almost instant success(within TWO episodes).

As for why it didn't do good, I don't know. I think it's a good show, so I can't really explain it, I just never expected it to do well.

Hmm I didn't think TCS had done that great right away, I thought they started becoming a big hit this last year, but maybe Pav can say for sure.

Personally I think Nick at Nite needs another network for more modern shows, they could save N@N for TCS, Roseanne and Full House. :)

Cosby Show is the only real 80s show you mentioned. The other two were primarily 90s shows. Maybe Wings does better overnight. It's been on at after 3am for a while now. It bombed in primetime and was removed very quickly from primetime, about 2 weeks or less.

Usually marathons launches are high rated. Cosby, Roseanne, and Full House had high rated marathons and were mentioned in press releases. Nick@Nite's summer marathons are usually high rated, so let's see how Who's the Boss? will perform on Wednesday nights. I hope it does well, because that can very well determine if it airs before 12am or after 3am this fall.

True, I had forgotten that FH even had a marathon, for some reason, I thought it didn't.

I dont' know why, but I have a feeling Wings does well in it's timeslot. I usually TIVO it myself :)

You know, if they counted the ratings of the people who didn't have Neilsen boxes, their ratings would probably be through the roof(overall) :)

I simply think N@N needs more than 9 hours of programming a night. :)

Definitely, especially if they're gonna keep adding new shows.

I mean double takes can only go so far

They need a Nick at Nite channel or something like that just for 80's and 90's tv shows :)

Nick@Nite should get their own channel so they could air more shows. Of course, they wouldnt call it NickatNite.

Its had one week in its 10:00 PM timeslot. Not EVERY show is a hit at first. In fact, most shows arent. Sheesh, give it some time...

Isnt that why there are hardly any sitcoms on the air anymore? People don't give them a chance, that's all we're saying.

Some shows do better in certain timeslots than others, some shows(even older shows) need to find their "niche"

TV Land airs old classics and Nick@Nite airs more late 80s- early 90s shows. TV Land and Nick@Nite are TWO DIFFERENT NETWORKS!

Some shows dont do well at first, but improve. If the ratings are bad at first, they it would be stupid to just rush it to the wee hours of the morning. Give it time, maybe it will improve, if it does, than keep it where it is, if it doesnt, move it to late nights.

Actully, that is true, but if it hadnt been for Nickolodien, than neither of these networks would have been created.
