Our internet was out all day yesterday. The squall line that hit Jackie Sunday Night, well, it raced southeast and hit me about 8am yesterday morning. It wasn't severe when it came through, there were 40-50 mph winds for a good 5 to 10 minutes and some brief heavy rain, and then it was just light rain the rest of the day on and off. Not much thunder and lightning(which surprised me).
Hurricane Season has started! :D
Moonlight Lady 06-01-2004, 12:53 PM We just got a Severe T-storm watch.
that goes from Rochester to Westchester, part of NJ and PA
My neighbor's got a good song going at the desk diagonal from me.
Finally by CeCe Peniston.
Finally, it has happened to me, right in front of my face and I just can't describe it.

Stormtracker TF 06-01-2004, 09:14 PM Ode to Dave Schwartz
He says his words,
long and proud,
enjoying the pleasure of a storm cloud.
He bursts with energy,
and shudders in delight,
as he likes to predict the wintery nights.
Forever will he speak slowly and say,
there's a storm warning for early this day. *wink*
Punctuating each word with a humourous smile,
he likes to grin and shiver all the while.
To Dave, our weatherman,
the only man who certainly can
inspire love of those weather words,
into the language of man!
I found that searching "Dave Schwartz" on Google, no idea who wrote that.
KayCee 06-01-2004, 09:14 PM I'm using the library computer now, but when I get home, I'll post something for you Jack! ;)

Chad22 06-01-2004, 09:18 PM 13 Questions With Adam West
1) How pumped were you when you landed the role of Batman in the Batman TV series?
Have you ever seen the GoodYear blimp? Slightly pumped.
2) What did your parents think when you told them you were Batman? Were you wearing the suit when you told them?
They were pumped, which looked strange on my mother. I wasn’t wearing the Batsuit, I was wearing my usual Brazilian thong – come on, get real.
3) Was it pretty clear from the start that Batman was going to be one of the best shows on television ever?
Otherwise, I wouldn’t have done it.
4) That suit looked pretty snug, did you ever get a Batwedgy on the show?
About every 7 minutes. Actually, my tights were heavily starched by the wardrobe department to prevent Batwedgies.
5) A lot of people threw up when they heard George Clooney, Chris ODonnel and Alicia Silverstone comprised the cast of Batman 3. What was your initial reaction?
I’ve had no reaction to speak of concerning any new casting. I’ve done my thing – my way. They certainly have liscense to try it their’s.
6) How does being Batman on television effect the brain of a normal human being?
I’m not a normal human being, at least that’s what my wife tells me.
7) Have you ever been in the same room as Dick Gephardt?
No. He thinks I look too much like Tom Cruise and he doesn’t want me around.
8) In your civilian life as Adam West, what is the most batmanish thing you’ve done?
In one day, I managed to keep an ocean liner from running aground, I straightened a rail-road track and averted a disastrous train wreck, and I prevented Airforce 1 from being taken over by terrorists. Wait a minute – that’s that other guy, Super-something.
9) If you could travel back in time and split into two Adam Wests, which other character would you want to play most on the show?
Aunt Harriet.
10) Do you ever check into hotels as Bruce Wayne?
Only his own.
11) In your experience, how many sharks could Batman fight off at once if he was tied up to a rock in the ocean?
Only as many as his shark repellant lasted for, unless the tide changed of course.
12) Hypothetically speaking: are you Dick Gephardt, or are you guys identical twin brothers?
There is absolutely no resemblance on any level, except that Lieberman thinks we look like him.
13) How different is George W. Bush from Batman?
He has no cave in which to hide.

MaydayMalonesGirl 06-01-2004, 09:37 PM SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP ME. I'm about to have a nervous breakdown.
1. If you forgot to study for your Social Studies true/false quiz and had to totally guess on all 6 questions, what is the probability you would get all of them right?
If someone gives me the answer, I'll give ya something... :D
