WARING: Contains spoilers if you haven't finished the series yet.

Sam,
You are a weird kid but your also a good friend. I think Cindy is not a girl to care abot. Your to cool for her anyway. Have a good summer and let's go back to the go karts place. Without Fredericks! (Or Neal too! That kid's weirder than you! Ho ho ho)
The coolest
Bill Haverchuck
"84"Weir,
You should tell your friends to stop being nerds and geeks. It's making you look bad.
Ken Miller 82!
Rock and roll!Mr. Weir,
Stay out of trouble this summer.
Mr. KowchevskiLogan the Huge,
May the force be with you. Always.
HarrisSam,
Your the sweetest guy I know and one of the cutest! Your friends are weird tho! Just kidding, they are sweet too! Have a great summer and see you next year!!!
Vicki [drawing of an apple and a bee]Sam,
You were a pretty bad mascot but you're still a good guy. You should join drama next year. Don't take my parts though!
ColinSam,
Don't ever stop being sweet. Let's go to the Iron Horse again soon! I'm still full! Have a wonderful summer and see you soon!
MaureenSam,
You are a trippy kid who always seems to be doing the right thing. Maybe you should stop trying to be so good all the time and have some fun. High school is for finding out who you are not trying to be who other people think you should be. Be a crazier sofmore than a normal freshman and tell McKinley to bite you if they don't like it.
Daniel Desario [Drawing of the "anarchy" symbol]Sam,
Stay positive and the world stays positive with you. Be negative and you'll be negative alone!
Mr. Rosso [Drawing of the peace symbol, with the words "read it and don't weep!!" pointing to it]Sam,
It's been great meeting you this year. Good luck in the next three years.
Randy
"81"A/V awaits you next year.
Mr. FleckSam,
You are a cool kid who is very nice and funny. It was a nice time having you in science class and doing my project with you. You are a hit with the ladies like Dean Martin or something, I think! Hope we are in classes together next year so you can tell people why I smell the way I do!
Gordon Crisp "84" [drawing of a "smiling duck"]Sam,
I'm glad we can still be friends after all we've been through this year. I still think your sort of a jerk but your a sweet one (no wonder you like "The Jerk!") Have a super summer and I'll see you next year.

Coach FredericksSam,
You are one unwild and very sane guy! (There's only room for one wild and crazy guy in this school and it's ME!!!) Thanks for the great year. Let's see lots of movies this summer. And if Steve Martin comes to Pine Knot, WE'RE THERE!!!
Your friend,
Neal Schweiber, Esq.All the best,
Millie KentnerSam the Norseman,

Todd "81" [Drawing of a football]Hey, Sam, I think it's cool that you and your sister are such good frinds. You are a grate kid and I hoop we get to hang ot allott this sommer (with Lindsay too, I brok up with Sarah - to weerd for me - disco suks!) Aniway, kepe cool and keep on ROCKIN!!!

NICKMr. Weir,
May your molecules be stable, your isotopes be steady and your cell structure in full equilibrium. Keep up the good work.
Mr. Lacovara
(The new Einstein)Sam,
Thanks for letting me sign your yearbook. I only see you every day, you weirdo!!! But you're a great brother and I love you (don't be embarrassed!) I hope your sophomore year is better than mine. Don't drink beer (real or fake!), do your homework and be happy. Seriously, you're my favorite person in the world (don't tell Dad!) I'm proud that you're my brother.
Here, now all your friends can make fun of you now. HA!
Lots of love,
Lindsay (your sister)

WARING: Contains spoilers if you haven't finished the series yet.

Lindsay,
It was nice getting to know you this year. Thanks for being nice to me and for setting me up with Ken. He's sort of like a big living tuba (that didn't come out quite right!) Anyway, have a great summer!
AmyLindsay,
I urge you to figure your life out so that you can get back to work and stop wasting your potential. You’re the best student I ever had and I hate to see you squandering your potential with people like this. [arrow pointing directly to Daniel's signature] The Mathletes are ready for you when you are.
Mr. KowchevskiI AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ! SEIDLEMAN IN FREAK CHICK'S YEARBOOK!Lindsay,
Keep up the great work!
Ms. YeatsSTROKER RULES!!!
Love, StrokerLindsay,
I wish I could get my hands on the hi-grade pot that Daniel smokes! [arrow pointing directly to Daniel's signature] Thanks for your help with Amy. I guess your a pretty cool chick after all. Your my only friend who isn't INSANE!!
Ken Miller
Rock And Roll!!! [arrow pointing directly to Mr. Lacovara's signature with the word "LAME!"]Ms. Weir,
May your molecules be stable, your isotopes be steady and your cell structure in full equilibrium.
Mr. Lacovara
(The new Einstein)Linds,
Great partying with you and the Dead. Hope you didn't get in too much trouble!
Victor & Laurie [drawing of a hand giving the peace sign]Lindsay,
I thought Mission Control was actually a pretty good name for a band. Nice meeting you.
Sean [drawing of a guitar]Lindsay,
I know that you are on a search for who you are and I think you are on the right path. I know that sometimes you think I am too hard on you but I do it for a reason and not a bulls--t Rosso reason. I want to make sure that you are true to who you are not just trying to be someone else. If you just believe in who you are and look for truth in this world, then you will be happy and you'll be a real person, not just one of the cardboard cutouts who walk this earth. Keep searching and keep questioning the system.
Daniel Desario [Drawing of the "anarchy" symbol]Ms. Weir,
I hope that you will give "On The Road" another read. I think you will see that your judgement of it was wrong.
All the best,
Mr. CasperLindsay,
Thanks for asking me to sign your yearbook!
Gordon Crisp "84" [drawing of a "smiling duck"]Hey, Brain!
Kidding! I'll always feel bad about being such a bitch to you before since you're now my best friend (right!) That was a crazy trip we took. You up for another one??! You're the best and I luv ya! See you this summer!
KimLindsay,

[Note from Daniel directly below Nick's signature: "Please teach Nick how to spell and write. DD"]Lindsay,
Who's that girl in the mirror? Is she an astronaut? An artist? The doctor who discovers a cure for cancer? Or is she the first woman president of the United States of America? Only she can let us (and herself) know.

For a good time, call me!
Ha ha
MarkLindsay,
I'm so glad that I know you and that we are friends. I hope we get to spend a lot of time together in the future. I hope Sam realizes what a very special and beautiful sister he has. If you ever need anything, please call me anytime. I'll be there for you. And please realize that even though I am a really funny guy, I am also a serious guy too.
All my love,
Neal Schweiber, Esq.
[Phone number with prefix scribbled out by Bill]Lindsay,
Run for your life! Neal is insane. If your on a dark street and you see him, you should run away as fast as you can. I am saving you by doing this [arrow pointing to scribbled-out prefix on Neal's phone number] so that you won't fall undar his spell and call him. I'm doing this because I consider you a freind. You can thank me later.
Bill Haverchuck (the coolest!)
"84"Lindsay,
It was very nice having you in Mathletes. You were a great addition to the team. Too bad you didn't stay involved. We could have used you at State Finals. I hope you had fun at the Academic Decathlon. You'll have to tell me how it went one day.
ShelleyLindsay,
This was such a weird year, huh? I wish we could have spent more time together but I'm glad we spent the time we did. I hope we'll always be friends, even if we both end up in different places. You will always be my best friend.
Love,
Millie
Goliath forever!Lindsay,
I hope you don't get mad when you see I signed your book but I just wanted to say thanks for being my sister. I guess that sounds stupid but I'm glad you are. Try not to get Mom and Dad mad at you because then I have to listen to them complain while you're out having fun. Sorry but I'd figured I'd write that in this blank space.
Love,
Sam

Okay, I didn't read any of that but I got me interested in digging out the copy of the pilot episode of Freaks and Geeks that I had lying around somewhere and finally watching it. So I did. I loved it. Watched the end twice. And now I want to see the entire series so I have to buy the DVD set. Curses.

Thank you, AKA, for inspiring me to watch this show that now holds my interest.

I kept myself from reading most of it because I haven't finished the series (three episodes left) but what I did read made me imagine how cool the yearbook edition must look (I still haven't checked out any detailed, in-depth pictures of the set), but to paraphrase tvobscurities, now I want to see the entire bonus materials so I have to buy the yearbook edition DVD set. Curses.

These are great!! Brings back memories of how perfect (to me) this show was. Long live Freaks and Geeks. :notworthy

Anyhow, as much as I love them all, this one sticks out for me:

Sam,
You were a pretty bad mascot but you're still a good guy. You should join drama next year. Don't take my parts though!
Colin

Sam as the mascot was hilarious, to say the least. :rotflmao:

Well, I just purchased the Yearbook Edition with rush delivery. $127.20 with tax. Not cool. That's the most I've spent on television-related purchases in a while.

Let's hope I can string along all the content for a few months because I won't be buying anything else for a while.

 Well, like AKA said, it's a great series and you'll love it. I did a bunch of reading online before I made my blind purchase of the standard edition, didn't see one negative word. It was all positive, and all justified. I love this show. I have to assume the yearbook edition is worth the price, since again, all that I've read has been positive. Let us know how you like it when you get your set.

No more stupid than not knowing the difference between sell and sale. (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=110735) If you want to continue this and get us both suspended, keep it up, but you'll never win a battle of wits with me. Keep trying.

P.S. Don't bother sending me any private messages, they'll be ignored and unanswered just like the one you sent me last week. Who's bothering whom?

It arrived today. I tore into it and pulled out the wonderful awesomeness that is the yearbook. I casually flipped through and read a few pages, skipping anything that looked like it might ruin the rest of the series for me.

I've watched the pilot episode with the first commentary, fantastic, and I was working on the deleted scenes/behind the scenes stuff when The Drew Carey show came on.

Where oh where am I going to keep this thing, though? It doesn't fit anywhere with my other DVDs. Curses!

Well, I've got some bad news. I have to return my copy of the Yearbook Edition on Monday. I have it all repackeged and as soon as I can get it out to the post office I'm sending it back to Sony. Why, you ask? Something is amiss with the first disc. I watched the first episode and everything fine and dandy on my computer's DVD player but when I tried to watch the second episode it got about ten minutes in and then froze up.

I considered the possibility that it was my computer but I can think of no explanation for why the first episode would work fine but the second episode wouldn't. Nothing has changed on my computer in the two days between viewings. It has to be the DVD itself. So I'm sending it back, with the packing list marked DEFECTIVE and I'm hoping I'll get another copy soon.

I just received my Yearbook in the mail today. The book itself looks really nice, they did a great job with it. It almost made me forget how much I paid to get it, but regardless, this looks like something I'll be enjoying for a long time.

If the bonus materials on the first six discs are the same as on the standard edition, I may just hold on to both, only watching the two bonus discs of the Yearbook and keeping the first 6 Yearbook discs mint, while continuing to watch the episodes/commentary, etc. of the standard release.

Just reading the signatures in the front and back of the yearbook makes me laugh, like Mr. Lacovara writing the same corny message to both Sam and Lindsay, and Daniel writing to Lindsay "Please teach Nick how to spell and write." This stuff is too funny. I can't wait to get into the character commentary.

Well, I ended up returning the second yearbook edition because it also had issues working on my computer. They finally sent me a refund. I think I'll take the money and buy the regular edition and maybe set some aside for the scriptbooks.

Or perhaps I'll buy something else. Regardless, I'm without F&G but I now have $127 back in my wallet.

Now exactly what is in the Yearbook Edition??

First, the book is around 80 pages or so, filled with pictures of the cast, crew and even fans, and alot of notes on the series, done as an authentic hard cover high school yearbook, complete with handwritten messages (like when classmates and family members sign your yearbook) in the front and back covers. It also has the episode summaries and song list that's in the booklet of the standard edition.

In addition to the six discs with episodes there are two bonus discs filled with stuff. You get three full length episode table reads (that's the cast going over the entire script, more or less in character), a question and answer session with the entire cast conducted by the Museum of Television & Radio, more auditions, more behind the scenes footage, more deleted scenes, NBC promos, photo galleries, and even the entire script (on screen) of an episode that was never done.
