It was back in the 80's when I first saw you upon the screen.
It was love at first sight even if I was only a teen.

I fell in love with your hair of red.
And with great attention I paid every word you said.

For the girls you were always there
And advice you dispensed with tender loving care

I watched you grow from housemother to gourmet cook
And thanks to video tape I was afforded a second look

I felt it unjust for the girls to date and roam
While my Mrs. G was left sewing at home.

It was with great envy and distress
That I saw you adorned in a wedding dress

In 1986 you married Frank and moved overseas
Money, happiness, nothing for me could appease.

I was so saddened when you left the show
Nothing but emptiness and heartache I would know

Away from the televison I ran
For who wants to see a Mrs. G wannabe Beverly Ann?

Though many years have passed since you did depart
You will always be my favorite red head in my heart

Through all these years the picture of you has remained imbedded in me
Mrs. Garrett on the beach in a string bikini

I would not think it gross or odd
Cause in my eyes you still possess quite a bod

So during the reunion movie I'll be watching with glee
And picturing the lovely bikini wearing Mrs. G with me!

Let's take the good, the bad, the Facts of Life
And grow old with me as my lovely red headed wife!

Well in the reunion Blair will not be the same
Her character will almost surly be lame
I mean, she will be missing her other half
