On the Weakest Link, there seems to be a good strategy that for some reason, is rarely if ever implemented by the contestants.
When there are only three contestants remaining, does it make sense to purposely play dumb and answer all your questions incorrectly, especially if youhave been one of the stronger links in the previous rounds? That way, it is less likely that the other two contestants will gang up on you and vote you off. It is obvious that the contestants don't want to compete with a smart person in the final round when it's only two people, so the strongest link when there's three people left always seems to get voted off.
But I don't think I've ever seen a strong link on the show purposely play dumb when there's only three remaining, even though it makes a lot of sense to do so.
