Do you think Mister Rogers was a cool guy??
I mean -- did you like Mister Rogers growing up and/or now??

I watched him some when I was growing up. I always found his show informative.

Then I grew up. :lol:

For little kids, he's ok, I guess. I watched him some, as a child.

I watched Mister Rogers when I was a kid.
I recently caught an episode on PBS, and even as an adult it was interesting. Fred Rogers taught his viewers many things, but most importantly, he never talked down to his audience.

I never did get into Mister Rogers. When I was a child, I watched Nick Jr. mostly. And at that time (late 80s, very early 90s) every single thing you watched didn't have to be educational. Kids shows used to be for entertainment and I turned out just fine without Blue's Clues and all of that other crap. I don't think I watched PBS hardly ever when I was growing up.

I didnt have cable until I was in first grade -- so PBS and Saturday Mornings were all I got!

I was never really a Mister Rodgers fan. my brother was scared of him when he was younger :lol:

I watched him growing up and I still don't get the point of coming home and changing your sneakers and sweater.

he's a lying sack of crap. he told how to make a paper airplane and i tried it and followed his instructions and it didnt work. bitch

He was VERY cool. He did not look cool, he was such a nice guy. Which made him cool. Let's face it, he was for a different audience, a YOUNGER one. When you're 6 or 7, he made all the difference than if you were 19-20. He had such an easy-going style.

Mister Rogers was definately cool. I loved his show as a kid, and if I could get the chance, I would watch his show now. Whenever I'm at work (as a bagger at Kroger), and the office wants me to deliver mail to any departments, I always enter the departments saying "Speedy Delivery."

It was one of my favorite shows growing up! Following Power Rangers and Arthur. LOL. I just hated the magical land place.

I loved watching Mr. Rogers and looked forward to his show while growing up. My 5year old and my 3 year old love his show as well.

Mister Rogers was the best. :cool: I always watched him while growing up. And if it's ever on now I watch it. haha. Whenever it is, if it is. Haven't watched it lately.:)

I'm fairly new to the board so I did a search on Mister Rogers. When I read your response, all I could do was :rofl: I laughed until I cried.

I loved him as a child and even as an adult probably moreso because he's from my hometown and it was always refreshing to see him walking the streets of Pittsburgh.

The Trolley and the Neighborhood of Make Believe live on. :)

Not really. I didn't watch much T.V. as a young kid. When I started watching it I thought the show was stupid.

I didnt really care for the show...but, i watched cause I was fascinated by that little trolley :eek:

Mister Rogers was the bomb growing up, and even now, catching the ocassional episode can be cool. I watched Sesame Street and Barney and Puzzle Place and all those other shows for fun (not to mention Electric Company tapes in kindergarten class...), but Rogers was really a learning experience while also being fun...I miss the old man already...

Mr. Dressup could kick his ass... but I did watch him when Mr. Dressup wasn't on.

That is so true. I loved Mr. Dressup. I'm so glad that we got the station he was on here in Michigan. I was so sad when I heard that he died.
