Doodie!!!" and everyone jumps out except this guy who is snorkeling and he sees it and yells, "AUUGHH!!! Doodie!!! Doodie!!!" The next shot is Bill Murray cleaning out the pool and he sees the candy bar and eats it. Judge Smails' wife sees it and faints. :rotflmao:

Batty's speech near the end of Blade Runner : "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

vashti1999 04-25-2004, 11:34 PM Two of my favorite movie scenes are very similar in that they both involve River Phoenix, at night, outdoors, telling someone "I love you": to Martha Plimpton in "Running On Empty" and to Keanu Reeves in "My Own Private Idaho"
They were both tender scenes, and part of the reason River was one of my favorite actors
phoebe7165 04-27-2004, 09:43 PM The end of Tootsie when Dustin Hoffman is trying to make up with Jessica Lange and he says "We were already...good friends". That line always gets to me.
2 from the Color Purple--when they're at the dinner table where Celie tells Mister she's leaving him and she tells him off, and Sophia comes out of her depression. "Sophia's back"!!
Also, when Shug and a whole group of people storms into her father's church, she goes to hug her father, and says in his ear, "See, daddy, even sinners have souls", and he hugs her back. Just typing this part puts tears in my eyes.
Willy Wonka--when Willy tells Charlie that he won after all after Charlie gave back the everlasting gobstopper.
Trading Places--when the Dukes give the servant a whole $5 for his Christmas bonus, and he says, "$5. I think I'll go to the movies. By myself."
Coming to America--when Akeem gives the two homeless guys all this money, and you find out the homeless guys are the Dukes. Very brilliant idea!!
The orgasm scene in "When Harry Met Sally". I love that after Sally is done with her fake orgasm, she goes right back to eating her potato salad. Oh, and right after that when the lady(who is Rob Reiner's mom) tells the waiter, "I'll have what she's having"!!
I like the scene in the 1989 Batman movie where Michael Keatons
Batman tosses one of Jack Nicholsons henchman down the
stairwell of a cathedral. It has been years since I watched that
movie, so I forgot how that scene went. Could you refresh me?
Come on, somebody has to know how it went.

Shirtless? If I remember correctly (...and I mean, how could I not?), he was pretty darn naked. I heard Barbara Stanwyck actually couldn't get her lines out during that scene. :p

Number 9 Dream 02-04-2007, 07:34 PM Old ass thread, but I'm bored and delaying my homework, so here it is  Spoilers may be ahead!
Stand By Me
- The scene in the treehouse during the first five minutes of the movie. The boys are hanging out, smoking and playing cards. The camera pans to each character, one by one, and the narrator (who is an older Gordie looking back on his childhood during the 50's) gives you a brief quip about each friend. I thought it was a cute way to introduce the characters. By this scene, we can see that Chris Chambers is the tough guy you'd want on your side, Teddy DuChamp is the fun, crazy one, and Vern is the fat kid everyone liked to pick on. This was also the scene where Vern asked the others, 'Do you guys wanna see a dead body?', setting up the plot for the whole movie.
- The boys are counting their money before going to the store to pick up some food supplies from the general store. They're loitering in the junkyard and making fun of each other. I just thought it was cute :)
- The famous train dodge scene..."TRAAAAAIN!" :D
- Later on that night, the boys are sitting by fireside and discussing the most random things. Then, they take turns keeping watch because they are afraid of being in the woods that late at night. Vern cracks me up in the scene every time.
- Later on in that scene, it's Chris' turn to keep watch, and Gordie joins him because he can't sleep. Chris confesses to Gordie about how he feels that he'll never outlive his bad boy image (he was accused of stealing the milk money at school, and while he didn't do it, everyone thought he did because of his reputation), that he just wants to go somewhere where nobody knows him. Very emotional scene with an outstanding performance by a young River Phoenix. I still can't believe a child could produce that much emotion and tears (especially since it was one of River's first movies). Incredible!
Dazed and Confused
- The opening sequence is perhaps one of the best scenes ever! We see a car slowly roll in to the school's parking lot, then Aerosmith's 'Sweet Emotion' starts to play. We then see what is going on inside the school, with high school seniors of various backgrounds and social cliques rushing to get to class on the last day of school, May 1976.
- It's the junior high end of the year dance, and we see the three junior high school kids leaving early, only to be chased by the high school boys and their paddles (It's tradition for the junior high kids to get hit with the paddle by the older kids).
The Goonies
- TRUFFLE SHUFFLE!
- Mouth is 'helping' Mike's mother translate for their new Spanish maid. Instead of telling her what she's really saying, he makes up all these things about how there's illegal drugs in the house, and if she doesn't do her job properly, she'll pay
- The scene where they are riding their bikes through town, trying to follow the map.
- Trying to side-step various booby traps set throughout the underground paths. Data's inventions never fail to make me smile :)
Donnie Darko
- When he is visited by Frank the Bunny for the first time.
- The kids jumping out of the school bus in slow motion as it plays 'Head Over Heels' by Tears for Fears.
- The movie theatre scene (Donnie and his new girlfriend are watching Evil Dead on the big screen, and when his girlfriend dozes off, Frank appears to him once again and takes off his mask for Donnie upon request. He then creates a portal in the movie screen, showing Donnie what his next venture will be.
